asus 6800le/td no go for bios V-mod??

    Hi there,

I've an asus v9999le/td and tried to perform the bios mod. I used nbitor 2.1 but changing the Vcore Vids didn't affect anything. I've flashed it several times with diffrently modified bioses and rivatuner always shows the changes I made.
But if I proof it I still got 1.24V and my core stays at 400 . Smartdoc also shows 1.24v.
Am I doing something wrong or is it true: no go for the asus?

I need some help because I would have to remove my heatsinks from the card to do the hardware mod with the VRs and last time I removed some heatsinks from a card I broke off one of the mem chip so I had to buy this card.
I used the same glue so I don't want to try it again...

    It's an asus v9999le/td Rev 1.01 with 2.2ns from samsung (I think) 400/920
Hope somebody can help with this, Thx...

Unless ASUS has done something special with their 6800LE cards, it should be easy to mod the bios for a gpu voltage anywhere between 1.1 and 1.4v.

But you must first change the bios GPU Volts Lookup Table binary string, using the NiBiTor v2.1 HEX EDITOR, from "6E0078018C02" to "6E0078018C03". This will correctly provide gpu voltage selections of 1.1v, 1.2v and 1.4v. And once the volts lookup table has been properly set, it will be very easy to use the NiBiTor "Exact Mode" volts tab to set what you want.

All 6800LE and NU bioses are incorrectly set to provide a true 1.4v option !

I am currently using a ASUS 6800GT 128MB bios with my Leadtek A400LE with no problems. In fact, have flashed and run with many LE/NU/GT and Ultra bioses. But obviously I had to change the gpu volts lookup table same as above, in order to provide proper 1.4v option.
    the more I know, the more I know I don't know !

hum, I've done the change but still nothing.
Neither an increase in temp nor in OC. Think I still got 1.24v because 1.4v should cause greater heat after 3dmark.

Linked is a moded 6800nu 128MB AGP Bios with,

    2D at 300 and 1.1v
    3D at 420 and 1.4v
    Memory at 920.

See how you get on with this bios ?

    EDIT:

Just realised that the BIOS in 68n4292.zip file is unlocked to 16x1,6vp.

So have also linked 68n4292L.zip, containing a version of same bios that has no affect on a cards pipes !

Maybe it's working but my card don't stay in vid3 or at it's clockrate. When I start 3dmark it jumps to vid3 and 420mhz but only for a second. Then it goes back to vid0
    and 299mhz and I only reach 7700 in 3dmark03 instead of 9700.
Maybe it's getting too hot but I'm using a zalman zm-700 cu so I don't think so. Can no longer read out temps with that bios.

...when I set up 2d clock and voltage it stays but I still don't gain a single mhz more for OC.
    Artifacts > 400mhz
I can't proof temp so I'll have to measure the voltage to proof if it's a bad chip or the mod is not working...

    But thanks to you anyway!

how many are using jimmors UNLOCKED BIOS posted above?

my buddy has a leadtek a400le just like jimmors. are there any other users of this same than can fully unlock their card with rivatuner, then flashed to this unlocked bios with success?

    thanks
