welcome to the XtremeSystems.org ! good to see ya here

Sorry i can't help you, I've never read any posts about the multipliers not being enabled and its never happened to me. I'm sure someone will offer a solution or suggestions. If you have already tried a different bios then that would be my only idea.

That is very odd. I had an FX-53 awhile ago, and the multi's worked fine on my Neo2 plat. Could it be he gave you a 3800+ thinking it was a 53? They both run at 2.4ghz.

Try a bios flash and CMOS clear.

Try altering multi in bios rather than windows.

It should work... cant think of many other reasons why it wouldnt.

In your BIOS did you have the lower multiplier locked?
Use the +/- bottons on your keyboard to change multiplier in BIOS rather than the top and down arrows to see that the multipliers are unlock upward and downward.

i tried diferent bios, resets a couple of times (jumper and removing the battery for a couple of minutes), i have the multipliers 4x.....to ...25x unlocked, i change to one of them, usually the nearest ones like 10x,11x,and 13x, i save the changes in bios, try to restart, and the system doesn`t boot, i have to reset bios to the system boot up in 12x multiplier, in windows i try to change in clockgen the system hangs
