    dicing my gpu

Well last weekend was fun using dice for the first time on my cpu. I was truely amazed by the clocks I got. By Sunday I had decided that this coming weekend it was time to hit my gpu. As for my mobo nailpolish was used in the area around the cpu socket. Insulation over it. I just started using the nail polish on my graphics card. If anyone has used this method or others of painting please post pics. I basically am wondering how far away from the cpu may I see frost on the card. In otherwords how much of my card should I paint.

Don't go overthetop with nail polish guys, wrap your card into sarin wrap and if done properly you don't get any condens at all.

Otherwise it's a pain in the ass to clean your card completly if you need to RMA it if something goes wrong.

Wouldn't that cause the memory to hold heat in? Also other heat expelling chips? I would like to be able to push the ram as far as possible and don't want heat interfearing with it. If I get to the point where I need a RMA it will more then likely be my fault and probably couldn't rma anyway.

Using liquid electrical tape instead of the nail polish would be a better alternative IMO. Very easy to peel off

From a person who has extensively used both, nail polish is a lot better-suited to our purposes Cleans up easier and works better at extremely low temps.

*EDIT* For clarity, I didn't mean that "I" was that person. I am speaking of Jason/MM.

Isn't peeling off the liquid electrical tape easier than than cleaning nail polish with alcohol? Could you please elaborate why nail polish is better. During my first DI run, I didn't use either one, just a lot of dielectric grease. A real PIA to clean up

Just going from what I've heard. Never used liquid-elec tape before you've got more say in it than I do.

Well I am not sure just alcohol will clean off the nail polish. The nail polish I believe is a little thinner so easier to get into small places. I have only cleaned it off in small places but the acetone worked real well. I suppose you could actually just dip the whole card in a pan of acetone and it would come off. I am not to sure about that though. As for the electrical tape I have that also. Got some on my hand and it was a real pain getting it off so decided not to use it.
