"Your skill in Provoking is increased by 1.0" | Prime95 Blend Test vs Memtest

    Guidelines:
    • 1) Set your timings and frequency.
    • 2) Run Memtest (Test #5 and Test #8 50 times each).
If errors --> try other frequency\timings and repeat point 2).
If you think frequency and timings are ok\relaxed for your RAM but still errors --> try another voltage and repeat point 2).
Notice: Now, if no errors, you could also try to stretch timings another time (to see if the problem was just in the voltage). When you find the best compromise, go further:
    • 3) Run Prime95 Blend Test for at least 12 houres.
If errors --> try another voltage and repeat point 3).

--> Your RAM is rock solid!

I have noticed that Prime95 Blend Test is more sensitive to RAM voltage in stead of timings, while Memtest the contrary. So Memtest is not enough.

    Example:
    Memtest is perfect @ 200 2-2-2-5 with 2,6V.
Prime95 Blend Test gives warnings after 1-3 houres (it depends). Set the voltage to 2,7V --> perfect.

    Have fun!

I wanted just to underline that JUST Memtest doesn't give the guarantee your RAM are rock solid.

Run the extended version of SNM 5-6 times and Memtest test 5 for 24H. Running 50 runs of test 5 takes under an hour. Don't bother with the tests above 7, they are just longer versions of the earlier tests.

occt imo is the best test, since its shorter and detects errors faster.

yupp same here. Memtest passed 12+ hrs in #5 and #8.

BUT NOT IN PRIME95 blendtest. Warnings after 3 hrs.
