Very important DFI NF4 series Beta BIOS

Not posted on the DFI yet.
As usual, Tccd for 414-1 and 3
UTT type for 441-2 or 3

    414-1

    414-2

    414-3

    ******************************
Add support for AMD Venice , San Diego Core cpu Cool n quiet

prevent Jp 17 jumper problem cause vdimm still stay at over 3.3v when jp17 set back to 1-2.
DFI recommand cumstomer need to set to 3.3v AND clear CMOS before set the jp17 back to 1-2 default position.

Sorry to go off topic but, does this mean that Venice won't work with the nforce 3 ultra chipset? As in an MSi Neo 2?

I'm using 7, settings mentioned in the thread in Xtreme Bandwidth for G.Skill DDR600. Seems to work fine for me.

OPB or anyone else that's tried....

What is the best of these bioses for the VX4000/BH5 RAM??

I'm hoping to get my VX to be stable in my DFI rig at 2-3-3-8@3.3v...

Been having one h3ll of a time with these 2 sticks of mine...

    Enough Off Topic...

So, is the 414-2 & 414-3 the best for UTT & would that also mean that that VX & BH5 would also be classed as UTT??

Right now I have my vDimm set at 3.2v cos if I have it set any higher, my rig just shuts off

    Cheers,
    Minnyboy
    Downloading atm...

What should my DRAM Drive Strength be for these chips ?

    System Spec:

    1 x FX55 WEEK 45
    2 x GSKILL PC3200/4400 LC
    1 x DFI NF4 SLI-DR

Also are there any performance increases apart from adding Venice support

    Many Thanks,

    Bigtoe said..

If you are using TCCD you may want to try 3 5 or 7 as the drive settings as they usually seem to allow the modules to clock well.

Hm, this thread is going to be a "what should I use for my xxx RAM" thread - why such a panic ?

Each user has a different system so it should be the best way everybody test it on his own - BOIS flash last only a few minutes.

I did so with the 3 versions of the 331 BIOS and found out that 331-1 is best for my BH-5.

Otherwise we have here hundereds of post what BIOS is to use in a few days......

Agreed! Just try'em out and find out what works best. So far 3.10 & 331-1 work good for me with tccd. Ill try the 414-1 & 3 next.

it would be helpful though, to have a sticky with recommended timings, drive strength, etc. for dfi nf4 boards in combination with different kinds of mem

    or is there already one?

There are already a bunch of DFI NF4 threads maybe all the info should be combined in one sticky.
