Red face A-Data DDR600 on DFI875P-T, cant go past 270 Fsb.

    Hey Xs.
This is my first Thread here after About 3 months of browsing and ´Ing

I’m having ALOT of difficulties getting past 270 Fsb.
It took me about 100 Hours of mem testing and a lot of frustrating nights before I was able to go past 268 Fsb. Finally I discovered that SP2 fixed the issues of my net card and sis soft Sandra.

So went on in my efforts to reach 300 Fsb.
Then I found out my A-data DDR600 doesn’t like lose/high timings. Only took me about 50 hours before I discovered that
    .
Then I went on and found that I have to give 1.8 Vagp before my rig is 200 % stable. Bloody DFI But I’m told that is because Vagp controls the chipset Volt as well

Now I have 0 errors I Memtester 1.55+ after 8 loops at 270 Fsb 2½-4-3-6 But When I tried 275 Fsb I get stuck. Tried everything, and I know its not my Cpu because I have done 32 M Super Pi at 277 Fsb 5:4 and 1 M at 290 Fsb 5:4.

Now I just give up, seriously need some help from other Intel plat formers. I hope this is enough information for You out there.

Well it's the limit of your board. I have the same problem. I cannot pass 270-272FSB. Some people are able to run 275-278 but I cannot. I think better cooling on the NB helps a little. There are some people on this forum that were thinking about doing a VAGP mod, but I don't know if anyone has actually done it yet.

How stable are you at 290 5/4 and what cpu voltage? My rig is almost stable at 290 5/4 but I lose my key board support after about an hour.I have the same wall at 277 1/1 as most guys.

Do you have CPC Addr/control disabled?

You probably need to try Vagp at 1.95V to go higher but i'm also on the same boat as you with TCCD ram on an 875P mb. They just don't play good together.

Might just be the chipset limitation......I've had my tccd ram at 262Mhz Cas2.5-3-3 memtest86+ error free for as many hours yours with no luck in stability within windows. I've also tried 1.95Vagp to 2V. It just doesnt make any difference.

A-Data have contacted DFI and are preparing a Test with the DFI 875P-T and their A-Data Pc4800.

    They will report back ASAP.

    Dear Peter,

I was just informed by DFI that the motherboard you have can't run at FSB300. If you have further question, please contact the DFI service people. Thanks.

And DFI was only abel to reach 250 fsb. What a waste of time buying DFI.

from what i have read about that ram its rated to run @ 300mhz on a single modules.. i u have a pair mostlikelly u got them separately, not as a tested kit.. so when run in pairs it wont reach 300mhz in fact 270 is normal 280 is very good on A-DATA ram.

Im 200 % sure its not the ram. The mobo is where everything fails.

I was abel to reach 285 24/7 stabel with my old A-Data Pc4000.
So Im Quite sure the ram can run as specified, alsow a hardware site I juse to work for had them running 298 Fsb.

    Just the mobo that sucks

Yes it's the board. I can only hit around 280 stable on this board with G.Skill LE, but AS8 does 290+ w/no mods.

I can also say/confirm it is the motherboard.. I have the same ram. I'm sorry about your troubling experience

Only temperature limited, I'm shure the ram can do more:
