    wow!

im gonna have to get my hand on one of these, i wish i got one in the first place, i knew nothing about this, i have a swiftech mcx-462+ sitting in the corner ( in a glas lawyers cabinet, a disply item lmao). i would have never spent 275$ on high end water cooling, i could have put a 28b fan on it...

i think instead of getting a new ttgi 520 i think ill get a mobile 1600+ i wont have power troubles the oviusly and i could got 50 bucks for my cpu im shure so for 30$ , seems worth it and overclocking would be perfect.

how do ya think it would like what i got now?

Newegg has the 1800+ mobiles on 200fsb, so youll get 15 mhz per 1fsb instead of just 11.

Interesting idea. I'd like to see a side by side comparison of a mobile chip and a regular chip at same speeds.

Depending on the CPU speed, a HUGE premium. Check Newegg. But, that fella here that has the excellent-clocking mobile 1900+ got his on eBay, & the same seller sells them frequently there

Yes they are factory unlocked(but to get all the multis your mb has to support this) and are the exact same as desktops. Only diffirence is that they are just the highest yields of the tbreds. Dont buy from newegg unless you can afford it. theres a guy on ebay named Auction-Partner and he gets them about every 2-3 weeks. He is a power seller and has a 100% positive rating with like 1500 feedback. I got mine for 80 bucks and that was a while back. Every mobile I have seen has been very good. Also dont worry about the stepping or week made because they are months ahead of other desktop steppings. Mine is a week 31 xp1900 and my friends is a week 27 xp200(he got it for 60 dollars) and his is better than mine.

Mobile cpu will take you to the right place on ebay.

Thats the 45 watt 1900 the other mobile 1900 is 190 dollars. Only diffirence in wattage is what vcore they run at. I believe they have alot of the 45watt 1900s and trying to get rid of them.
I think newegg heard about overclockers getting them and purchased some hoping to make a killing cause mobile chips are higher than desktop versions but what they should have thought about is no one will pay 200 extra dollars for a few 100 mhz. Newegg is the only retailer who has mobile amds and you couldnt even find mobiles exept for ebay before newegg started selling them. Just check aution-partner every week and he will have some more. Make sure there mobiles because he sells desktops too but every time he had the mobiles marked as mobiles. I know AXMD is one of the mobile codes.

It just has a diffirent vcore than a normal mobile I believe. If you jack up the vcore it would be the same.

i am under the impresion that these babys create less heat thana a normal tbred, and in that is one of a coupple reasons why they oc well, what is the normal vcore's on the 45watt and the one id never spend 190$ for, your running the same voltage through that as in my palamino xp. how much cooler is it? do you have the 45 watt model?

my power supply is kinda junk, its brand new but ony has a 30A 5v line, so if i where to get a moblie would my problems stop?

one more thing , when they say 45 watt, that is @ full load or idle? and if you where to do a sisoft burn-in on the cpu what does it say for core wattage.

They are a better yield than a desktop processor. They usally use less vcore than a desktop cpu so yes they dont get as hot. At 2.0 volts they probaly are close to the same temp but the mobile are better quality usally so they overclock a little better.I dont have a palamino so I cant answer that. No I dont have the 45watt model.
You will have to find the tech sheets on amd to find what is the difference is on all the mobile as far as vcore. Just buy a new Power Supply if its a cheapo. Mine says 109 watts at 2.05 vcore at idle.I think a 45watt would be better since it can run teh same mhz but with less vcore.
