Logical CPU #2 seems to report the right multiplier. BTW, there is something strange here. Franck told me about a bug in P4 with C1E/TM1 enabled. But i think it was in V1.26 but now solved in v1.27. Your dump show that TM1 is enabled here (MSR 1A0 - Bit 3) and then, that automatick clock modulation is enabled. Perhaps you can try again with TM1 off or with some CPU load.

Well, a bug exists with Prescott core and CPUID F41+ in CPU-Z V1.27.

Hope franck will solve it this week. BTW, others CPU (Prescott F3x, AMD) are not affected.

Err, i just checked with several PC and i can confirm that there is NO bug in CPU-Z 1.27. BTW, there is a bug in CPU-Z V1.26, Crystal CPUID and all other tools that currently fail to detect the CPU in C1E Mode. C1E Mode was introduced in Prescott F41 and is a power-saving feature that allow the CPU to switch to 14x multiplier when idle.

All old tools like CPU-Z 1.26 and Crystal CPUID can't detect this switch. CPU-Z V1.27 used a new detection code to detect it. Here is two screenshots from a Prescott F41, one in idle with CPU-Z V1.26 and V1.27 and one in full load. You can understand better what i'm talking about. In this case, V1.26 failed to detect the C1E switch correctly.

umm..why not included the voltage in the database?

Because the voltage measured is not reliable enough to include it, especially with Vmod.

    [QUOTE=cpuz]Download CPU-Z 1.27 : http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-127.zip
    CPU-Z page : http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
    CPU-Z Validation page : http://valid.x86-secret.com/

Some words concerning the new validation system : this system, entirely online-based, allows to validate a CPU-Z screenshot. Validating an overclock consists in three steps :
    - save the validation file
    - submit it on http://valid.x86-secret.com/
    - if the validation passes, it will provide you an ID. Enter this ID in CPU-Z, and it will be displayed in the main page.

IDs can be validated at this page : http://valid.x86-secret.com/

Downloaded and happy Thanks, Franck

I have one question, though... since you're here

Are there any plans to actually integrate into CPU-Z itself all the information that has to be entered in the web browser (I mean, loading a file, entering email, name and "publish option") ?
And then CPU-Z connects to the database and just pops up information VALIDATED?

    Just a thought

    Thanks again

BTW... What about support for AMD "Venice" ? Also, when you look at the AMD "Venice" CPU-Z screenshots, it seems that CPU-Z doesn't recognize correct amount of memory...

CPU-Z Version 1.28 was released on Friday the 25th of March. It has an F7 validation key binding.

You mean directly upload the file ? I agree to say it would be much more convenient, but there are some security drawbacks.
Besides, the F7 key should simplify the save. BTW this feature was suggested by the xtremesys team, and everybody seems to appreciate it. Guys if you have more ideas like this please let me know !

Venice is not supported, I've seen the screenshot after the release of the version. As usual I will patch

CPUZ 1.28 got a big bug , when we use F7 to screen , with 2 sessions of cpuz , the validation of the 1st window of cpuz use FSB of the second for memory speed... And put The TRAS to 15
    I tested it with 280 , 300 ...

Could you try to reproduce this with something other than "2-2-2-15" ?

I think this bug could only be reproduced with these value (may correspond to an unread 0xFFh register somewhere). If that's the case, Franck will correct this and i'll invalidate all 2-2-2-15 OC in the database (with V1.28/V1.28.1)

    It happens too:

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=9935

It was really with a 200:166 divisor (so ram was running at 200Mhz). Tras is always set to 15 when opening another CPUZ.

Well, Franck must correct this asap.

But cool news, i found a way to prevent these "wrong" results to be included in the validator. Could you try again ?

How do I find a lost ID? I accidently erased the e-mail which verified my Venice 3800+ ID? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not a crack, only a f*****g Asus BIOS cheat, as usual.

    That's solved.
