New winnie steppings just as crap as previous.

Got an LBBID 0512 today, its absolute crap, wont even let me run 250HTT which my previous NC let me do easily, I went as high as 1.7V and not once did it go over 250HTT stable, fails in almost all tests in memtest.

Board is DFI Nf4u memory is Ballistix (tested upto 275 2.5,3,3,6 @ 2.85V on Shuttle SN95G5), so unless my board is bad which I doubt, the chip has a useles memory controller also, it will go upto 275HTT on a 5/6 divider but nothing to write home about.

Oh well guess I will have to wait an age for the venice to get to UK shores and send this piece of **** back.

    cpu: ryzen 1700 @ 3.8ghz

unfortunately I sold all my spare CPU's as I was hedging my bets on this one, but it has not panned out, cant be mobo holding me back as I said it does go upto 275 stable but on a divider, I can get into windows @ 290 on divider but it will crap out under heavy stress. since I know my ram does 275 2.5,3,3,6 @ 2.85v I know it cant be that (I did try upto 3V though just to be certain.)

Maybe the mem controller on your cpu doesn't like to be overclocked, try running at relaxed mem settings.

Well I have just finished testing this lump and its really useless, it will not work over 240HTT stably now, and dividers wont give better stability at higher HTT anymore, This things going right back to whereth it cameth.

TBH if I have to relax it then theres no ponit to overclocking the proc any further, as my memory give me better performance than my proc will, eg on previous system went to 255 2.5,3,3,0 got superpi of 35 seconds, droped timing to 2.5,2,2,5 and got superpi of 33seconds, and we all know how hard it is to earn superpi seconds.
