The most unbelievable thing happened to me

    you gotta believe this!!
I swear this is NOT a JOKE!!
Have you heard a 16 pins broken fx55 still work flawless.?

about a month ago, after I got my 10k+ and 3.7g OC on the chilly1's cascade,
my lovely king of FX55 dropped onto OCZ power, when I tried to adjust those bend pins, 16 of them were broken(too cold). I then immediately post the that thread.( http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=147)

tonight, I try to clean my motherboard, and I see my dead fx55, I was thinking to ship to Holst, he'd like to help me to solder pins on that and fix for me. so I start to adjust some bend pins then insert to the socket. OK the fun part starts, I for got that's dead fx55, and applied some silicon compound on it. I thought it's my newer 0506fpmw. then I power it up and I was still NOT aware of which fx55 it is until I see the 0506fpmw fx55 on my desk. O....My...God... what the ...I now still can't believe that. It looks like this:
    see the inside of red-retangle?

ok, from my previous ecperience, this king of fx55 can do 290x11 rock stable(I think Sli-DR with 209 bios), now... it did this...

I am so happy RIGHT NOW. It's really a miracle. Unbelievable come back fx55.

I think xs has member live very closed to columbus OHIO, you guys are more than welcome to visit me and take a look see if I am lying.

Thank you all for listening to me.

I heavily doubt anyone thinks your a liar OPB. Very nice to say the least, have you ran any extended tests with other programs to see if there is any visible damage? I thought there was a diagram somewhere to tell which pins are for what purposes, voltage etc

OMG what a comeback lol though you should be careful with the chip now. Just because you bought a new one doesnt mean your old one isnt also quite an expensive asset. I'd lay off the xtreme benchmarks on the old one to prolong its life (lol), but thats just me.

Always good to see hardware coming back from the dead . Though I think I liked your last avatar better

Holly Molly, man you are one lucky person.. I would be devistated if that happend to my winnie, but an FX on that... And then the thing still works, WOW... Ive heard of redundant grounds and such, but would of never thought there to be that many in a row, and I thought I was lucky when my old 1.6a P4 worked after loosing two pins, LOL.... I bet you had to take a double take of your new cpu sitting on your desk before you realized you WERENT dreaming...

WOOW. If the damage occured 1 pin column over, it would have destroyed his MEM Data pins.

So can we conclude, the 16 broken pins improved your overclock? (290x11 vs 295x11) Seems to be a wholly new mod
