    You are quite funny
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

That's one of the problems of SLi, you have to get 2 good cards and not 1.

Yea, I really believe that one card is holding back. The core of 470 is just plain bad.
I won't be able to test it untill tomorrow. If it's the case, I'll replace the card and try again on my water setup before going Cascade.

My memory ran good, 1300s, the core on the other hand sucked, 470. I need to test each card seperatly and see if one card is a dog or somthing, if so I'll have to replace it.
I didn't use the mods, the cards were hot enough as it was.

Next will be with cascade cooling, an extra 100C of cooling should take care of bussiness.

Those aren't Futuremark approved and won't propably never be. Better to run with approved drivers so the score is legit, right?

Are you sure on that boss? sure it's just one slot on both but i think MSI has some more milimeters to play, I say this because one of my MCW50-T's does not fit between the cards, unless I'm doing something wrong.

That is a difficult question to answer to be honest. In one sense you want a driver set that has no IHV cheats, so 66.93 is the one, but on the other hand as everyone is using the same IHV in this case it does not matter.

But on the other hand the top scores have been done with 66.93, which currently beats later driver with tweaks so if the later drivers are now used will that mean that the new record holder ever beat the old score and so had the fastest rig ?

But on the other hand nvidia drivers are always progressing and benching multiple drivers over time is part of the fun. It also makes people with onetime LN2 put more effort in and cost to keep up with the OEM heatsink guys with the latest drivers

On the whole though I'd say at present 66.93 is the way to go to see who is top dog.

    Regards

    Andy

You guys need to get some $$ and go for the dual tyan PCI-e board.

It supports two 16x pci-e slots via two "INDEPENDENT NVIDIA CHIPSETS ON ONE BOARD" and yeilds up to a 1k lead in 3dmark 2k5 due to the increases speed.

    2 opterons 248 2.2ghz =$900
    tyan mobo $500
    2x 6800u =you already have
    4x512 ch-5 ecc/reg ram $450

That's a good start OPP! Yep, it definitely takes two good cards to pull of top SLI scores. Aside from having two solid cards, I also have a secret "hint" on maximizing your overclock in SLI. PM me if you'd like

You can't o/c the CPU there so I don't think you can take WR. MAYBE in 05?

yeah only talking about 05 since 2k1 is about to be phased out 2k5 will take over as the preimer benchmark and cpu has little effect at all on score

plus the folding power of a dual 2.2-2.6ghz opteron setup "yum"
