I thought the 6800U put out more than 80 watts. I'd like to see the temps on the cards - and I might have to cancel my Maze4 plans. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot: benchmarks too. Silly me.

I don't think the TEC's can handle the load, but we'll see.

not to rain on your parade or anything Opp, but a stock 6800 ultra puts out 110w, i think you need 172w's at least
Opty 144 0546FPMW @ 2.8ghz
MSI K8N Neo 2

Plus some other metal fings...
Will do me till Conroe

try to use some sort of ram sink on the mem.
I had lost about 40 mhz from the ram when I removed the ram sinks from my 6800 in the past, then when I took the mem think off, and filed it down, to get a much tighter fit on the ram, I gained another 20-30 mhz or so by having it tight on the ram.
OPP are you going to be testing the 3500 out tonight?
RIP Dad. I will miss you always.

But the MSI Plat. and Diamond are the same as the DFI.. I have a Diamond and use its SLI bridge on DFI at the moment as I am modding a DFI Ultra into a SLI.Originally Posted by charlie

110w consumption guys, not 110w heat output, and not all from only the core.
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
Well, IC circuits are something like 99.9% consumption -> heat output?

a 6800ultra does no where near 110watts according to that.

I think it went something like this.
get the cascade alittle cold, like -20, boot up, and max out the voltage, let it get into windows and clockgen your way up.
the extra voltage, and overclocking from windows up while your not at your max coldness, may do the trick to keep you just warm enough to run the CPU without windows going nuts.
Oh-oh.. macci & OPP @ SLI. Watch out![]()
