About those heat spreaders....are they really useful? I mean...I have an open case and two 80mm blowing over it...is taht enough or should I put some spreaders on?

Hi again, I've switched to asus p4c800-e dlx, since abit ic7 wasnt good enough
Mods are done, but haven't tested OC yet..."working" ATM...
I jave 3.2 D0 SL7E5, is your CPU the same?
If it is...how did u set the droop trimmer? 27k ohm or smth else?
And final question...which bios version are you using?

Yes it is very stable . During the 32m bench the volts were between 1,71 and 1,68volts from mm5!
I think low values of the resistance gives stability both in high (over 1,6 volts) and low voltages but high values of the resistance like 27 kohm or 36 kohm gives stability only in low voltages like 1,5 or 1,55 volts.
that is of what I have seen in my mobo!

The vcore pops arround like a monkey, from 1.488 all the way up to 1.553 ! Well that are spikes, but i think they shound't be there...

I've tunned the trimmer a little bit now.
And droop under load is as malves said...0.016, it droops from 1.52 to 1.504. But the problem is vcore when idle...it's 1.554.
Isn't that a little too high for pressy? I run my PC 24/7...

I have this board with 2x512 ADATA PC4000 with a Pentium 4 2.4c and I'm stuck in the low 260's FSB running 1:1 with PAT and the other Performance option enabled.
I have to wonder how some people get any higher than 265 because I've tried extra voltage and all kinds of stuff. I've read countless articles of how this proc oc's and before I got any of the proper hardware I had imagined taking it up to 3.6+ GHz but I'm stuck at 3160 MHz.
Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? It seems I have the lowest overclock of them all with this setup.
I think the cooling is possibly my problem. I have all stock air cooling. I tried overvolting the fan but that didn't work out too well. I was wondering if it would help to put a fan on the NB sink?

I don't know the capabilities of the ADATA, but have you tried running 5:4 instead of 1:1?
I've thought about but I'm really concerned about performance losses by disabling the performance features and running it in ratio.
What would be 5:4? This board lists them as 266, 333, and 400.
