    6 GHz club! (P4 660 & LN2)

    Greetings from Finland

We overclocked today the new Pentium 4 660 CPU with LN2 and managed to take a screenshot @ 6024 MHz. Here is a validation url: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=7257

CPU was cooled down with LN2 and the max Vcore we could get from BIOS was 1,75 V. We used our custom modified powersupply (1320 W) and didn't notice any issues with voltage lines. Stable as rock

We ran SuperPi 8M test @ 5904 MHz and scored 4min 10sec (Shared World Record with japanese guy Futto Kun)

I attached pic of our setup.

Anyone know Vcore mod for Fatal1ty AA8XE?

    WTG man! super great!

Hey, what is that power module? Can you say its exact purpose and how it works I think I know, but I'm not sure.... Does it really help?

I'd like to know this as well. My guess is that it's some sort of line conditioner.

Clean-looking setup you got there, 3 PSUs is quite a bit of power there.

He uses LN2, not air... And even on air it would be lower then that... It should be around -165C?

Now that is what you call power

Great work Samsa... macci and The Stilt involved with this too?

I dont know the vcore mod but someone point him in the right direction... I have a feeling that the 660 can go a little higher

Yeah that looks like one of Maccis bench tables but it might not be. That PSU is absurd. Keep up the great work!

    Great job,

PSU seems to be a normal ATX PSU for normal lines to mobo + perf and the 12 volt and 5 volt seem to be from 2 server PSU's. That must give a lot of power, prolly makes the entire country have a blackout :+

Nice OC, now lets see some 3DMark with a 6800 Ultra SLI setup (nForce4 for Intel?), for that you'll prolly need a bit more power

I hope you were being ironic.

Some pretty "cool" results there on that Intel chip
    WRs are always fun!

what's the black box closest to the edge of the table (closest to us in the picture)?

I'd like to know about the Black Box as well

Nice entering of the 6ghz club. I have yet to by a CPU clocked higher than 1,8hgz

    (P4 1,8 Wilamette, AXP 2500+, A64 3000+)
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

    Thanks everyone

    Here are some details:

Powersupply is combined from two 430W server PSUs with PC Power & Cooling TWIN-POWER.900 unit and a friend of mine (Kamu) modified normal ATX 460W PSU to supply +3,3V. PSU has no problems to handle +35 amp load.

Macci and The Stilt not involved, they live in another city. These overclocking results are done by me and my friend Kamu. Although we will have a nice sauna/overclocking session together in few weeks

N0 stepping seems to love cold and we ran our tests @ -140 Celsius.

I talked with Steve/OCZ about their DDR2 memory modules but for some reason their sales department didn't contact me in time so I had to use Kingston HyperX DDR2 modules with lame CAS-settings. Maybe we'll do another run with OCZ memories if I manage to get them.

You just have to pour LN2 to stop the fire

    Congrats on that shared WR

Would that SuperPI WR fall into your hands with better ram (OCZ)?
