    I think a 1hp compressor would be plenty, I bet even a 1/2hp sc12xxx or rotary could pull it off. I can condense CO2 with a 1/4hp compressor in my test autocascade.

    The difference between the pT chart of CO2 and ethylene is pretty big. I don't think a 1/2 hp compressor can pull it. Check the pT chart of ethylene
