3 Letter bandits unit!! AKA wtf is MPM

K, Just got my cpu in. But its at my home-home instead of school-home. NOOOO

    3000+ winny
    cbbhd 0449 MPM

cant find much on this mpm stuff.

    this post:

And an old thread with this in it:
What the author fails to mention, or go into more detail, is the potential of "M" batches, i.e. XPMW or like mine with just three letters at the end of the 3rd code line MPM. These combined batches given the current situation (AMD filling lower speed orders with original high speed processors) benefit's us tremendously. So when you see an M it most likely a remarked higher speed CPU re-binned, and re-marked for lower speed inventory.
Anyways, I know I am not the first, so start chimming in people. I will have my clocks here soon enough.

I did see one other person at VRZone, I believe, who also had an MPM that did 2.64GHz on air. I think what we are seeing is that the week and stepping aren't meaning as much as these letter codes after the week.

A little more info on mine

lol, I got mine in yesterday and it was a 0451 MPM. I was just going to make a post about that.

But anyway, I can do 2.65 prime stable (on normal water) with 1.68 vcore. I will try 2.7 tonight and also post some screenshots.

Looks like this is one exception from the 0451 curse that plagues so many members on this forum....

I got my 3500+ winny on wednesday. Stepping is CBBHD 0447MPM. It does 2.65GHz with 1.45 vcore on Vdimm-modded Epox 9NDA3+. SuperPi32M and 3DMark stable on those clocks and volts. Going to test some more...

Sounds like a pretty nice code.

    Consistently at ~2.7

Hopefully my WCing can get a bit better than that.
