DFI LP Ultra D 310 FSB 1:1 No Problem!

*Updated* 310 FSB 1:1 stable over an hour of Prime and SuperPI see new pic...

Hey guys, after a bit of tweaking with my Ultra D, I was able to get 305 FSB 1:1 (preliminarily) stable with SuperPi and Prime! I still have more Prime to run but I think I still have more headroom, I haven't even tried higher! This motherboard rocks. BTW, in my pic, I found the below timings in A64 tweaker work really well for TCCD. So those with problems, give those a try.

The really exciting thing about this is my Gigabyte SLI would only do 275-280 1:1 with the exact same CPU/memory/ and Drives...at the exact same CPU voltages! This mobo is definitely the best. And it is not "only" the voltages that make it better. It handles massive power needs much better than the others

    sorry for the big pic

Thanks, nice info.... but IMHO 15min of Prime would hardly be considered Prime stable.

I only had 15 mins to run Prime, but I can confirm I can now run 310 1:1 for over an hour on Prime. I will post more pics when I get home! I didn't mean to say it was Prime stable (I usually do 24 hours) but this is how I preliminarily test until I find the edge. Than I run prime overnight.

I am hoping maybe 315 is in my sights. I am keeping my finger crossed

I got the Vapo LS running ...lol I think OPB said you subtract CPU temp -256 to get the actual temp when you are below zero. One thing I noticed was my chipset is maxed (1.77V) and with the stock thermal pad it was at 52C idle and 60C load (I have 2 6800 Ultras right over it)! Now once replaced with AS5, I only get to 50C when loaded! Idle went down to 39C! So fellas replace those thermal pads

    Tonight I am going for a 315 1:1 run

That is good to know, but did it make any difference in your top speed?

It may just have. I was only at 290 1:1 the day before. In fact, as soon as I tried 291 my PC would reboot. Then I put AS5 on the chipset and now I get this... Of course from last night to the night before there was also alot of RAM tweaking too

you should be able to go higher... with Centon TCCD I maxed out at 330 Mhz 1:1....it's just to bad I don't have an FX55 like you to make my bandwidth scores improve...

I'll go up in 5MHz increments. We'll see how ot goes. This board is amazing. It is also sort of weird how my TCCD which loved 2.7Volts on otherboards loves 3 volts currently on the DFI. I think this is the sweet spot though I may try higher.

Did changing the timings from 2.5-3-3 to 2.5-4-3 help a lot? Right now I can't get past 280mhz and ive tried 2.8-3.0vdimm.

Well I updated my first post. It appears 310 1:1 is good to go. I haven't had a chance to test stability on 315, although I can game at that. I will try some more tonight.... gem of a board

Very good result. dnavarro. If you relax the timing to 3,4,4,8, I am sure that will push up the HTT like me.
