DFI 250gb please help... bios problems?

    first off specs in sig!

ok i just got a new set of VX and i am trying to get this ram started...
well i am doing fine all the way up to 250 @ 3.2vdimm 2-2-2-5..
then i go for 3.3vdimm and i reboot the friggen thing clears cmos.. wtf
it happens everytime no matter what. what is this thing doing? i cant figure it out. so now when i set the bios to 3.3vdimm it clears cmos and tells me some bios error.. so i reflashed like 2 seperate times and loaded optimized values.. still no worky

also i have the LDT set to 3x and the chipset at stock voltage if thAT matters.. tried to up the chipset voltage and it still doesnt work

Might be time for an RMA on the board. I never had any issues like that with mine.

I also have a problem when going above 3.2V, but my bios gets corrupted and I have to load optimized defaults... very annoying as my bh-5 clearly need more

Mine does 3.6V 24/7. Never had a problem with my bios.
Is your 3.3V line up to it?

You are running .1-.2v higher on your 3.3v PSU rail than you are running vdimm in BIOS, right?

E.g. if you want 3.3v vdimm, then PSU 3.3v line needs to be at 3.45-3.5v. Otherwise all the extra BIOS vdimm options are useless unless the PSU rail is cranked up.

I have that problem with mine above 3.2V, the way I get round it is to set it to 2.8v reboot enter Bios save and exit, go into Bios again then try 3.3v save and exit and keep saving and exiting till it stick's, if it go's back to 2.5v you have to start again, but it can take 4 or 5 attempts to get it to 3.3v or above

Make sure Vcore isn't set to auto, Vcore at auto will cause trouble with Vdimm over 3.2V

im having a very similar problem. whenever i plug my bh5 or ocz eb into the dfi 754 ut and try to save something to the bios the bios is gone and the board just hangs. i can boot into windows and its stablem but as soon as i enter the bios and want to save changes or leave the bios even without having changed anything it gets stuck. i get a black screen and nothing happens... when i reset the bios it boots up again... i tried many bios files and flashed several times...

please try to find out how you got rid of this problem acidbaby

ah well, this board has huge vref fluctuations anyways, so i think i will just rma it :/
