Unhappy Trying hard to reach at least 2200Mhz

Asus A8N-Sli Non Deluxe Bios. 1002.003
    AMD 64 3000+ @1.45/1.55V (tried both)

    ADA3000DIK4BI
    CBBFD 0443VPGW
    1142349K41017

    GeIL PC3200 value series @2.8Vdimm

I'm running in to some problems trying to overclock this cpu. First of all, I can't find any bios newer than 1002.003 (which overclocks like crap) while the Deluxe version has like 10 beta bios files.
I've tried almost every setting to try and get this cpu stable over 2Ghz, most of the time I can Pifast up to 2.15Ghz but can't even boot at 2Ghz

    What I've tried:
Setting Cpu Multiplier to 9x instead of Auto
    Setting HTT Multiplier to 3x/4x
    Setting Ram to DDR400/Auto/DDR333
Raising Vcore to max 1.55V, Vdimm to 2.95V

The memory stops at like 220Mhz, while in multiple reviews it reaches 260Mhz with 2.8V.

So, whats to blame? Do I have the worst Winchester of the planet, do I need to wait for a new beta bios from Asus, or is there something else thats keeping me

Btw. 6600GT does clock like hell Currently @600/1250Mhz with just the stock cooler, going to replace that with a Zalman soon.

Haven't tried setting the memory to T2, you really think that could be it? I did lower to memory with the 333 divider, thats why I thought that the memory wasn't the problem.

I did it , with the following settings

    DDR set at 333
    HTT Multiplier at 4x
    Vdimm at 2.8V
    Vcore at 1.65V (1.55 real)

    See picture for timings.

Maybe set AGP Freq to 67 though it won't probably help much. How about hard disks? Do you have Sata or ata and what Sata slots are you using? Maybe try different sata slot.

When I was running an old bios I could not get 1T to run stable, then updated to the latest deluxe bios (with my deluxe board) and was able to run 1T where I could not before.

270x9 @ DDR333 4xHTT 1.4vcore and 1.85vdimm. I am using two generic 512mb dimms for dual channel and I can still hit 220mhz on them at their rated timings.

Give 2T a shot until they update the BIOS!

    I'm using a 200Gb Maxtor DiamondMax 10 S-Ata hd, it's connected to Sata1 from the NV chipset.

Just made it to 2.3Ghz, it was the memory that was limiting me before.
DazzXP made me remember that the memory could still be the limiting factor.
When I used the DDR333 divider the timings of the memory changed to CL2. So when I got close to 2.2Ghz the memory had to do DDR400 @CL2. Which it obviously couldn't do, so I changed that to CL 2.5 and voila

See the enclosed image for a Pifast run

    Thanks DazzXP
