Wow, maybe he got the one with a Venice core ...Thats probably the only logical explanation for a 3000+ at 3ghz !!!! VERY well done.

I kinda doubt venice cores in winchesters, if so, does his have sse3? there was a rumor that winchesters past week 45 have strained silcon but not much about this has surfaced. Could just be amd used a new batch of silcon wafers when their old batch ran out on week 45 and the new batch is purer, better quality. This is a good explanation why the majority of pre week 45 winnies do 2.3 to 2.6GHz while post week 45 do 2.5 to 3GHz, yours being the best of course how stable is yours at 3GHz? I can get mine to 2.6GHz max 3dmarkable with it making it thru sometimes. I cant even get to windows at 300x9=2.7 though! I never really bothered to find its stable limits cause of the ondie controller, but 2.48GHz with my ram async still wasnt stable, I got a early week 37. Yes I could always get another 3000+ winny or even 3200+ and try my luck but id rather just save for venice anyway, I want one big bang instead of several tiny leaps

anyway if this is any indication of winchesters to come, hopefully we see the first venice do 3GHz or what the best winchesters are doing with Venice of course improving from there. I might wait out and let the first venice pass cause prices may be high initially cause everyone wants to be the first to one. In perhaps 3-4 months ill get a later week venice or even san diago and my goal is 300x10 if not higher like 310x10, 300x11, etc depending what ram I have by then.

    that proc doesnt have SSE3
SSilencer has a 3000+ 754 doing 3ghz on phase, benchstable i think. i would rate that more impressive since on air they only do 2.3-2.5ghz, while winnys like aircooling best and often get high screens

    your winnie sucks?

snapping a clockgen screenie with very high vcore a few hundred mhz over stable speed doesn't indicate a new manufacturing process...

i'm guessing cold air, +.35v, very unstable (just a quick snapshot with clockgen)

the question is... is it stable? I am able to get 2.7ghz on my 0444UPAW but I dare not to find out how much further it can go...

i can get a screenie of my week 12 claw 3200+ at 2600mhz on air at 1.75volts but is nowhere stable. mine is stable at 2300 at 1.5. that is all i need. now if that was 3d stable cool but a screen is only a screen.

Where do you get this info from? I've had a week 50 and week 51 and both sucked for overclocking - neither one would break 2.6 GHz. One was maxed at 2.3Ghz, the other 2.57 Ghz.

    10q u all guys.

about that "only screenshot" thing, I think a SS on the max edge is a very good indication of the chip potential, this chip is s&m 1.51 stable @ 2.7-2.8 on stock heatsink !

You can not say in anyway "this is only a SS it does not show anything".
It shows that winnis in general and this little dude can scale real high and do 3ghz++ under phase.

I think it will put up a good fight to the FX55

i think a s754 claw would get a lot closer to a FX 55 than a winny. dual channel is what 500 points in 3dmark 2001 and 1mb cache is like 2k
