Well, I've ordered the SLI-D from overclockers.co.uk
Hopefully it should be here either Friday, or Monday/Tuesday.
I'm still a bit concerned that the evaporator hose on my Vapochill XEII won't reach the CPU socket properly... it's a fair bit further down than the motherboards I've used with it so far, and I don't know exactly how much slack the hose has in it...
Guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to like the cold very much
I'm running it at 3.0Ghz at the moment. It's not prime stable for more than a few seconds, but it will do 32Mb super-pi, and whatever other tests I throw at it, so it will do. I can bench at 3.2Ghz, just about, but that's the limit.
The strange thing about the chip is that it just doesn't respond to voltage. It works just as well with 1.5v as with 1.8v... guess it's a better chip for air than phase. No-one seems to be selling their FX-55s atm. and nowhere in the UK has them in stock new, so I might just stick with this until the San-Diego core comes out (hopefully shouldn't much longer than a month or 6 weeks - fingers crossed!).
As for the setup, I don't have a digital camera with me atm... and anyway, it's really hard to tell how much slack there is in the vapo pipe - it's packed in pretty tightly behind the PSU.
It's the vapo XEII in the standard vapochill case though... I'll see if I can find some decent pics on the vapochill site. From the pics it looks like I only need about another 3 inches though, so hopefully it should be okay. I don't remember it being tight for length when I set it up...

guess only time will tell...whether the 20 mods done according to anandtechs review has significant improvements...
btw, i think its highly unlikely that one will get a PR board as that would be fraud...so i guess its between RA 00, 01 or 02...
maybe folks can post which rev they have esp if theyre having problems...
