I hope you all like that - 8RDA+ PCI

    Check this out:

    Hello Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxx,
PCI is fixed in 33Mhz and AGP is set at 66Mhz as default value (PCI:AGP=1:2). And AGP can be also set at 50, 60~100Mhz. I hope I answered your question.
    Best regards,
    Victoria Chin

So you have 33MHz PCI with the 8RDA+ - Congrats to everyone

yeah I read that. Why dont they ever come out with the facts when they introduce a board? New bios is out that supposedly goes to 250fsb in 1mhz increments and fixes the mutiplier problem.

I'm starting to get a little interested in this chipset but it's not quite there yet. I guess this negates Abits claim that there is the only one that does 237fsb. Now i will be suprised if this chipset can do it. People say the chipet is fire hot at 200fsb. Might take a revised revision to be stable at these high speeds.

If that is the case, I can't see why Epox can't publicly state that. Posts about that issue on the Epox forum on AOA are getting deleted. Users are getting ridiculous excuses like: If we say the board has PCI bus lock, it's not good for NVIDIA's business since VIA and SIS will get theirs out. As if VIA and SIS could lock the PCI bus just because Epox said 8RDA+ have the lock

Because AOA wouldn't publish a statement, I ended up linking to a thread on HERE that proved that PCI & AGP Lock worked fully on the board...

VIA & SIS won't get PCI Lock out until the KT400a... and it was already planned to be featured in that chipset irrespective of what nVidia put in the nForce2.

Epox just didn't want to confirm it cos they were unsure as to whether it actually worked properly or not...

Gotta remember tho, AOA's official Epox representation is ONE PERSON from Epox UK... personally I'd rather deal with Epox US or EPox Taiwan meself... perhaps Icee or some of the other guys should send a few e-mails in to Epox US and try and get someone from there to sign up here... after all, we have Abit Marketing here, could possibly start up some interesting discussion points....

Well, one hour ago I got this reply from Epox Uk to an email request. :-

    Dear Andrew,

    Many thanks for your enquiry.

I am afraid that we are unable to comment in relation to this matter.

I actually sent the email to Epox global and they sent it back to Epox Uk for answering.

Epox UK ought to be told they can now admit to it.

That new BIOS sounds good, I am hitting my head against 211FSB at present.

    Regards

    Andy

Thats because AOA forums suck big donkey d***
Last tiem i got help fomr their epox guy he told me its nto the MB its because i dont know how to overclock and that i probably have a 300 watt generic PSU (even though i put right in my first post under the topic that i have Corsair PC3200 C2 and 550 watt enermax)..

They then went on to tell me that epox 8k3a+ cannot run PC3200 C2 not even at 333 MHZ! Damn retards just couldnet accept that the NB HS was not installed properly on my board (epox would never make a mistake we all worship epox at AOA)...Fixed the problem myself with a zalman NB Sink.

They are rude and power happy over there, ask the wrong question like (wat will be included on the next epox board) and they will jsut ban you from their forums
