So when is the DFI nf4 coming out

    Hi there,

Ive just ordered 2x BFG 6800 Ultra pci-e

but still now DFI nf4 board availabe :|

Now I've been wondering, is it more than 2-3 weeks?
If so, I must order another nf4 until that DFi board comes,

I cant just have 2x6800 Ultra cards doing nothing for 2-3weeks now can I.

The wait is killing me, hehe

And if there is more than 2-3 weeks to the DFi board, what board should I get in the meen time?

    THanks

    ps. Þetta verður þokkalega geggjað

Man ur loaded, but it should be coming out in 1-2 weeks, the nf4 ultra. MSI Neo4 is the best alternative.

here are the e-mails I recieved this week from DFI:

    "Hi All,

Please be advised that the shipment for NF4 has been pushed out to 1/31.

    Manny"

    and

"It is indeed true that we found some last minute hardware issues and have since issues a change on all production boards. Along with the h/w modification is a new BIOS. You will find that once the changes are done, the boards will run smoother with a wide range of memory and processors.

    Best Regards,

    Vivian"

This isn't 100% proof of any official release date. In all honesty without DFI announcing something officially you can't be sure really.

What was posted on DFI-Street seems reasonable though.

I am very curious to find out what this last minute hardware change is, must have been serious for them to do that. imagine the cost involved in unwrapping all products scheduled for shipments, mod them and ....

Very curious to find out what the problem was.

You seem to have the money, why just don't buy a Asus and play with your ultras on that one til DFI comes out

    HPM-COMPUTER has confirmed ship date 03,02,2005 (D.M.Y).

However, if you havent pre-ordered good luck
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

Maybe the "last-minute-bug" only hit the SLI and SLi-DR, heard that the first charge ULTRA's for Europe arrived in the Netherlands today (27.01.).

So what is right and what is wrong ??? I preordered an ULTRA.

    Previous system:

    DFI NF4 ULTRA 0453A3 KOREA CHIPSET / BIOS 510-2FIX / FX-57 0516WPMW@3.62GHZ / 2x256 CORSAIR 3200LLPT BH-5@13x278MHZ 2-2-2-5@3.69VDIMM / MACH II GT@MOD BY BERKUT / ACTIVE COOLING FOR RAM - MOSFETS - GPU RAM / CHIPSET & GPU CORE WATERCOOLED / OCZ POWERSTEAM 600W / BUILT BY ATI X850XT@660/651 - VGPU@1.73-VDD@2.26-VDDQ@2.21 PENCIL MOD / WIN XP 2x80GB SAMSUNG SPINPOINT SP80 SATA - RAID 0 & WIN 2K 40GB SAMSUNG SPINPOINT SP40 IDE BENCH DRIVE / PIC

HPM has excellent customer care though - anyway, the SLI-DR was delayed from 24,01,2005 to 03,02,2005.

Boo hoo, a couple of days more. Its coming right after my exams, so the timing is quite nice!

Thanks Juliette for your advise about this store...

And yes... 03-02 is the good date for me too. Just in time my chiller is finished and the wblocks and the 2 6800GT's insulated

Now you know why Dell will not make AMD PCs. No serious company wants to put up with this nonsense from AMD and AMD board makers. Only enthusiasts.
