Done, and it fitted. It works both ways aswell. But if you gonna have mem in slot 3 & 4 you have to have it the way I have in the pictures, otherwise yhe heatpipes are in the way. Good clearens to gfx aswell.

you got me. I just ordered this board and a XP-120 w/ 12 cm fan. I guess i will cancel my MSI neo4 order and sell my brandnew, unused XP-90 then.... the fact that the Xp-120 fits did it for me

Sweet. XP-120 is the way to go. Your ram get's some free air from the 120mm fan to help cool off that OCZ VX or TCCD
    --Motherboard: DFI NF4 Ultra-D (510-2FIXBios)
    --CPU: A64 Venice 3000 275x9 2.4GHz
    --Cooling: XP-90 heatsink w/ Panaflo 92m
    --Ram: Mushkin Redline 4000 1GB(512x2) @ 249, 2-2-2-5, 3.3v
    --Video Card: Connect3D X800XL w/ VGA silencer
    --HD's: WD 74GB Raptor | WD 200GB SATA
    --Sound: SB Audigy 2
    --PSU: OCZ Powerstream 520W

So can you please state which slots will not be usable with the XP120. Will it work with memory that has a heatspreader?

    Thanks for trying.

Does that XP-120 work when you have the motherboard mounted vertically?

it looks like you can use all dimms...just turn the sink that way the pipes face the other direction. Look at his pictures.

look at this...it looks you wont have problems with any DIMM slot...there is clearance above each slot. His pics are pretty clear

so would XP120 fit with say like VX ram with spreaders on and a big gfx card at the other side like a dual slot x850XT PE?

i really dont think the spreaders would add any significant size to the dimms...its maybe 1/20 of an inch more..i really dont see that as a problem.
I just look at my OCZ and even with spreaders its hardly higher than the DIMMS itself.

X850XT: Dont see any problem here. Look at his pics, again. The fan and blower slot would be on the other side, away from the heatsink.
And from the back of the card to the XP-120/pipes it looks there is almost an inch clearance.

This is actually what finally made me cancel my msi k8n neo4 and pre-order the dfi....the other thing i like is that there is clearance between the two memory dimms. (because you plug it in slot 1,4 or 2,3 and NOT like the MSI in 1,2 or 3,4. So..there is more airflow because of this gap.

Add a XP-120 and 12cm fan and you get niiiiiiiice cooling even over the memory Great board design !

My mems (KHX 3200/256 without HS, the ones in the pics) is about 31.2mm high, do you have nodules any higher then that you won't be able to mount them after mounting the heatsink. And you have to remove the modules from the slots when mounting the xp. If you mount the XP the other way, that is, heatpipes towards the mem, then you won't be able to fill the slot closest to the socket. But you can mount the XP by having it horizontally during clip fastening, just keep a hand on the heatsink so it wont tip and then use a screwdriver to fasten the clips under the sink. Did that when mounting it on the MSI. With this method you just place the mems in the slots before mounting the XP, then you can use mush higher modules. Though you have to unmount the XP if you wish to remove you modules.

Hope you understood what I ment, it's not that easy for me to explain this in English
