    i think i just wet'meself.
but late march? oh come on... how about late january. that'd suit me just fine

also, does anyone else think it's ironic that the chipset cooler is so much bigger than the cpu-socket and almost uses the same space a normal p4 hs would use? lollinger at that.

I guess I'll be waiting even longer to build my Dothan system... I've got this chip just waiting, but no board.

There's a distinct lack of legacy ports on that board. Not that I mind.

If that really is a RGB output. i think im in love.

It supports dual channel ddr2 for sure, but what about ddr1?

After some research, it does appear the GMA 900 (intel integrated graphic solution) supports up to 720p resolutions, thus it will be able to drive a hdtv

    http://www.viperlair.com/articles/te.../925x/p2.shtml

Now, if that board includes the gma900, it would make one sweet quiet and small HTPC

So dual channel ddr2 but not ddr1?

    Gritty google translation:

    I915gMm-HFS

A open Japan announced on the 19th, from the same day Intel the MicrocAtx motherboard " i915gMm-HFS " which loads the 915GM tip/chip set which is announced is sold from March first third. Price is undecided.

The tip/chip set where the 915GM tip/chip set which was called in the development code name " of the Alviso " corresponds to the Pentium M of the FSB400MHz or the 533mHz, adopts PCI Express bus architecture. Same as 915 series tip/chip sets for the Pentium 4, PCI Express x16 video card, DDR2 memory and high * デフィニション * audio et cetera available.

With the i915gMm-HFS, it has 2 the both memory socket of the DDR and the DDR2 2 can use each memory respectively. In this case, when using DDR2 memory only, it operates with dual channel connection. As for graphic function 915GM built-in?, installing the video card in the PCI Express x16 slot, it utilizes. The ICH6M is used in the southern bridge, the PCI Express x1 slot 1, the PCI slot 2, serial ATA II is prepared 4 ports, the IDE (the ATA100) channel 1. In addition, being onboard, also the IEEE1394 has.

DDR and DDR2 both slot equipment

As for extended slot PCI Express x16 and x1, 1 at a time PCI 2

That especially it is unique, in the display output part of the back panel, the DVI-I and the component (the Y/Pb/Pr), the D terminal (at present time as for the corresponding range is unclear) it is prepared in addition to the orthodox analog RGB. Because heat generation is small relatively, it adjusts to the Pentium M which, can make the CPU cooler quiet as a PC for the media server who is connected to the television and the like of the living it has become the constitution which it is easy to use.

In back panel many display output line ぶ

Product which adopts 855GME tip/chip set " i855gMEm-LFS " similar and the CPU cooler are done same company original ones bundled until recently. Also the SpeedStep utility which can set the operational clock and the like on the Windows belongs.

ok judging from that translation only when ddr2 is used will we be able to run dual channel. ddr1 will still be single channel.. anyway nice board and especially nice for small silent multimedia stations.

so is this thing dual channel?

    it should be, I mean, it's a 915 chipset.
but, it's such a hybrid already that I am just guessing...

It is dual channel, but I'm not sure if it just the ddr2 or not.

Thats from my post just above. That was using googles translation, beta.
    Anyone read japanese?

info from THG also says that 915GM/PM support dualchan ddrII-400/533 and single chan ddrII-400/ddr333
but weird that according to thg, only 915PM has pciex 16x while other 2 have not.
clearly this isnt the case, because aopen mobo has 915gm chipset and pciex slot..
