    something dead?

i have a dfi lanparty with a 2500m amd and watercooling. i woke up this morning to a frooze computer and a puddle of water on the proc and alil on the mobo. the proc has clear nail polish and dielectric grease on it. last time this happened it was fine. i let it fry out all day today and still not working..

this time it just keeps freezing and when i try to boot to windows i get a blue screen saying ACPI isnt enable or something wierd....

this thing freezes with stock bios, stock settings, in the bios setup!

i put a throughbred 2400 in to see if proc and no post.

threw 2500 mobile in again and it boots but freezes and does wierd stuff.

i put air cooling back on for now and the thing just isnt workin...

sounds like dead board doenst it?

It might be dead, but ussually dead boards won't boot at all. Try clearing the cmos (as you might have already tried). Also, you may want to re-format, the freeze may have created a collosul windows error and screwed up the install.

thought about that too so i tryed to start to windows cd. i reset bios and even recopied a new one (ioss bios saviuor ) when i try to boot to a cd it doesnt even try to read it. i have it set to the first boot device in bios too. loaded optimized and everything.

im almost sure the board it junk now. this thing locks up in the bios!

    Wink

    Photo?

Be happy you can RMA it. I can't - I can't get the heatsinks down from it

BTW, any chance you can measure the components on the dimm mosfets part of the mobo?
