Most of them wouldn't do 2.4 regardless of voltage and 2 of them were 3500's! I also would consider a bad overclocker something that needs 1.6 to hit 2.5 stable. Like a few of the ones Ive had. My best OCer does 2.6 @ 1.55 +5%, and 2.5 @ stock volts. The other CPUs I still have need 1.55 + 8.3% just to hit 2.5Ghz. I see people here getting 2.6 or 2.7 on stock volts. I've never been that lucky.

Yea the 3000 in my sig came from Monarch. Monarch's CPU have overclocked much better than the ones I got from Newegg...maybe I'll try another one from Monarch soon. Tired of buying these things to get a crappy overclock.

    3000

3ghz but not stable. Looks like it will take more voltage to break 3. I'm priming at 2.9 to see how stable that is.

you got the full 3 lines of code on it? no one really lists the 5 letters anymore, and i'm wondering if there is anything to them, but also the last 4 numbers on 3rd line.

sweet stuff, my week 43 does 2550 @ less than stock volts, i plan to run it 2400 Mhz @ 1.344 24/7, as it does that quite well (mobo undervolts a bit, in reality it goes from 1.328-1.344) i think its a 2700Mhz easy chip, will have to wait till my ram gets here to tell. yea tccd!

    f**k it up man :p

my personal opinion is newcastles/clawhammers etc could all take 1.9-2v and there is zer o evidence that killed them, my personal guestimate is a winchester will have zero issues running at 1.9v, and if you want to be safe try say 1.8-1.85v, this is if you want to vcore mod, or have a board with higher voltage(don't think there are any before dfi is out).

when you do change anything and get a chance, if you remember have a look, i've always had cores with last 4 numbers being lower have done better, with sub 0100 numbers doing very well, and i'd suspect yours is deffo a low number.

my friend also recently bought one from monarch and is running at 2.6 stock. He hasnt tried higher yet because he likes running his memory 1:1. I may go order another one from them soon.

Maybe chips from weeks with "7" are cursed...

Running core center on the Neo 2, I load around 46-7 C on stock voltage and 55-7 C on 1.65V. My memory is either at or below 200mhz because it wont overclock and its just 1 512 stick. Gskill LE's will be here by tuesday. I'm not doing anything special in the bios. I am running version 1.4 that came with my board and have followed the tips in the Neo 2 thread. I'll have my friend post his results here as well

Sorry, people on this forum are notorious for not answering somebody' s question

That stepping should be the "best", based on the premise that the later the week the more mature the 90nm process. But as you know very well, overcloking is a gamble, nobody will know unless you test it, I think it will be better......
