you are the exception and not the rule. Most 754 cpus don't have a mem controller that will allow 1GB of ram on the single 64 bit mem controller that high. Some will, but MOST will not. To expect 754 to run that high is not right. Even some 939 cpus wont allow that high due to memory controller on the cpu not behaving.
To blame ram is obtuse!
