    Black Ice Extreme connection

    Hi!

I'm having some problems with my WC setup,
    I purchased everything already,
with all of it being 3/8" ID stuff
    1)Swifty MCW6000
    2)Swifty MCW50

To this setup i Added the Black Ice Extreme Radiator
to be mounted externally in the Radbox thingy.

BUT, i just realised that the BIX i ordered came with
    1/2" ID connection!

what am i to do now?
I have read that silicon tubing for 3/8" ID can fit 1/2" ID
    rite?

    http://www.dangerden.com/archives/2002%20Mar-May.htm
an extract from the URL i posted

    "March 18th

The Xtreme's arrived today. All orders are being packaged and shipped...All orders made for them should ship tomorrow with possible exceptions to the recent orders (Last day or two).

An FYI: 3/8" ID Silicon Tubing will fit around 1/2" OD fittings. So if you have a 3/8" system and you want to use an Xtreme...no problem. You don't even need an adaptor. Just silicon tubing (Vinyl will not do this)."

Do i have other options? won't stretching the tubing htis way cause leaks? even with hose clamps?

    Thanks!

just put the tubing in some boiling water for a second and then put it over the bix fittings. it will go on and be nice and snug.. you wont get any leaks... it will actually get a tigher seal.

just make sure not to leave it in the water for long at all. just need enough heat to soften it up a little tiny bit so u can stretch it over the barb without the tubing loosing its elasticity.

If your using zerex in your mix, you can put a bit of that on the barbs or tubes too, makes it easier to slip them over the barbs.

i remember even using soap once to fit a 6mm tube onto 10mm and it worked ...so if its really hard to slip on try that.

I'd suggest you try to fit it over the whole barb, 1-2 cm coverage for me is scary. If you move your tubes around at all, they may slip, not really worth frying your expensive equipment.

Is there any problem with the flow, temp or something else if the radiator is 1/2" and the rest of the system is 3/8"?
