What's wrong with this L12 mod?

I have done both the L12 (for stability at high fsb) and the 5bit multi (for multiplyers of 13 and above) mods but the L12 one does not appear to be working. Can anyone see anything wrong with what i've done? Is there any way to tell if the L12 mod has worked besides the stability? Currently system is highly unstable no matter what FSB/timings unless the FSB is VERY low. Even then i am not sure but anyway i have pretty much removed everything else as the possible problem and the L12 is the only thing left.

The L12 mod for the XP-M is not the same one as you did.

You want to connect ah28 to ah30. ah30 to ah32 does the same thing, too, and that's how I have it set up.

I think you've got the one that is supposed to force a 200MHz FSB on a 133MHz FSB proc (mobiles are different than other 133MHz processors). You've got ah32 to ag31, which won't do anything.

What motherboard do you have? That could just as easily be holding you back. Anyway, try ah30 to ah32 and I think you'll see an improvement.

You could try asking Trats, he modded the Asus bios with the L12 mod by default, worked as expected.

mcbns is right... for xp-m 200Mhz wire mod doesn't work...

AH28 and AH32 are ground pins. on mobiles you can only force 166FSB L12. 200FSB doesn't work here. just connect AH30 to either one of those ground pins and you'll be set.
after you reboot, Load Optimised Defaults and you will get "Unknown CPU 1000Mhz" instead "Unknown CPU 800Mhz" upon restart

After extensive testing i'm still having trouble. With all mods removed at default settings it boots up as a 600Mhz "Mobile Athlon XP" (100x6). I tried running ram out of sync to test it and it won't even do DDR480 at any timings let alone DDR550 at 2.5-3-3-7. As for setting the FSB on the board with jumpers like $0m#0n# said, changing where the jumper is or removing it doesn't seem to affect anything.
