I can only imagine the ECC in the ram is helping it be stable? i don't know much about ecc or how it works so im talking out of my butt hehe.

I had a 240 a new one it overclocked well using standard Heat sink I got it to 2 gihz. I had a 246 but I couldn't get it over 2.3 gihz stable for some reason. I had some nice Corsair 3200LL ECC reg ram it flew I got like 6 gig mem through put.

I think they Lock the BIOS on purpose as soon as the board detects the Opteron.. I had a Sk8N 1.03 with initial BIOS release when I put a 146 Opteron in it was detected as an engineering Sample and the Voltage control got Unlocked. Unfortunatly the BIOS sucked and could OC as much as I could with new BIOS'. I think if you could fool BIOS in reading Opteron ID it could unlock the Voltage controls. The New 90nm Opteron are going to kick ass at ocing because of 55 watt heat disapation.

Oh I found the Sk8V was much better for OCing for some reason.

Generally it corrects single-bit errors server's running massive up-time experience, and minimizes system crashes/data loss as as result.

I've never seen anyone overclock with an Opteron like that...
With some nice TCCD chips and a 5:4 divider your Super PI results should get even better.

    2449 / 1400 = 1.75
    350 / 200 = 1.75

Isn't that an overclock of 75%?

i can't use TCCD chip because this motherboard works only with ECC REG ram
(i would like to put my BH-5 sticks or BH-6 on it with 3.8v but can't)

For the love of god, give your ram some TRAS...your choking your ram and not allowing it to perform lol. Give it a tras of 5 or 6 and I guarantee that you'll see better bandwidth.

the Sk8N has pci/agp locked as all nforce3 M/B just boot with 201 FSB.
It can handle 350 Fsb rock with LDT 2X.
