    Thumbs up Outrageous TCCD!!

I know you've seen 320 more often but most of the time with a 256mb module (or 2) and/or lousy timings like 3-4-4-x
    This is 1x 512mb with 2,5-3-3-7.

    How's 320 2,5-3-3-7 errorfree in memtest?

    3.0V Vdimm

It gives some nice bandwidth too:

    And for Everest lovers:

    321MHz 1:1 2,5-3-3-7

Lucky you, I tried a pair of Geil Ultra-X and the better one can only do 2.5-3-3 at 307MHz or so without error out in memtest. The other one is utterly crappy barely doing 260MHz 2.5-3-3.

What's the mem settings in BIOS?

Yes it's OCZ EL platinum rev 2.
Funny how this mem is rated PC3200.

I have another stick of this very same RAM, actually the other one of my dual channel kit that happens to generate errors in memtest at just 270!

Perhaps i should give that stick another try with DRAM Drive Strength level 2 instead of level 1 and some more juice.

Do you have the version with the OCZ sticker on the heatspreaders or the one that have the logo in the heatspreader?

Freaking results Don't think my sticks will go up that far.

I don't have the ones with the OCZ logo imprinted on the heatspreader but the later version with the plastic OCZ badges on the heatspreaders.

Because for some reason multi 8 sucks and gives BSOD over ~314MHz and with multi 9 i'm running into the max of my CPU.
I can do 316x9 as the max for my CPU.

    As far as settings go:

3.0V, DRAM Drive Strength level 2, increase skew, value 128, read preamble 6ns, the rest is at auto iirc.

I have that too, with MP8x i only can bench at 315MHz.
With MP10 i only can bench (with same settings) 310Mhz and that is not even stable. (klote BSOD's)

I know for 100% if you have a prom, running at MP10 you wont run those speeds.

I'm still experimenting why higher MP's makes the mem harder to run 300Mhz >

Take off one "0" and you get 320 fsb, obvious, eh?

Is the other set you mentioned to clock only to 270 also with the "newer" heatspreaders?

    Aaah, now i see.
The one that only reaches 270 ain't a set but just another 512 module.

It also has the newer heatspreaders like this:

I know this is pc3700 but it's just to show what the spreader looks like.

Anybody running these (or any other TCCD), without the heat spreaders, and if so does it help at all?

These heatspreaders seem to be well attached compared to others i've seen.
Taking them off won't gain you much i reckon.

If you want naked RAM you'd best go with Gskill i think.

Why do we always prefer naked over "well dressed"?

    Zeus,

Was 3v easy with this memory, or did you have to coax it to take 3v? I have some Ultra-X that won't boot past 2.9v and I'm wondering if it will always be this way or if I can expect more later.
