Subaru WRX

What do you guys/gals think about this car. Im looking to trade in my civic to pick one up. The WRX can be insane fast for a small price.. I think 4700 in aftermarket products can push you into the mid 11's, which is about 490hp.

Ohh yea you cant beat the AWD of the WRX.

I think the car is ugly but it *can* go fast. Its a never-ending world just like this computer world .

My friend has a new one for sale, something like 10K miles. It is too fast for him, he gets in trouble and no longer trusts himself. I can put you in touch with him, if you want. If you meet the guy you would understand what I am talking about.

2002 WRX blue and you can prob get it for what is owed.

I've been after a WRX for the last 4 years. I presently own a 96 Impreza and I love it. It drives like it's tail is on fire and it only has minimal bolt-on mods. I want a WRX but with my body style 'cause I to think that the new one is pretty fugly.

I'd say go for it over the civic. Too many civic's around by me that look fast but are dog slow.

Its a secret, Ill take Chris for a ride and race the WRX if possible (depends if he can handle the stick)

william, that holds true for off the line but around 50mph I walk away and 120+ the WRX is not to be found.

To get the WRX off the line I have to fill the gas tank and remove air filter. 108+ octane booster helps too.

I even raced the WRX with the AC on to make it more fair on top end.

K-dogg, I love that car man. If it weren't for the company truck I'd have one. I test drove one once and pissed off the dealer. (He must have been scared of my 1337 driving skillz)

gooch how the hell does it get that power at an 8.0 to 1 compression?? my god that engine has room to peak over 1000 bhp!!!!! and still be on natural air!

Turbos and the above is the street legal detuned configuration to pass California smog testing and registration.

Thanks Gooch for the spec. Exactly what I was looking for.
Top speed is 200+mph not 250+mph although as JBELL said, potential for 1000hp.

apparently this isnt true everywhere, but around here the WRX is at the level of the v6 mustang as a girl's car (never see guys driving em).. I don't think the local subaru dealer even has more than one in stick cause the girls all want auto..

ya see, you can buy some parts and boost the wrx up to 300 hp. good luck getting 300 HP out of a v6 mustang. the mustang doesn't have awd either.
