Do u think the mem controller on the 3000+ would limit the 1:1 fsb potential of the ram?? Read up abt some issues regarding the lower speed bin 3000+ having issues running 1:1 at high fsbs

Hey guys! need help pls!


i have an Asus A8V and a 3200+ Winchester CPU. I have bought 2x Corsair 4400 Cl2,5 to let run CPU and RAM Synchronuos. But when i let run them synchronous , FSB 260/260Ram Windows Doesnt Boot or hangs up.Even with 250 it doesnt run stable... the only stable clock synchronous is 240
I have tried everything i think, i disabled the 2T Command, enabled it... but it runs not stable, i always get bluescreens and so on... what do i make wrong? ive set al Ram Timings manually already...vram.. i dont know more.

i have seen, that some people here have a K8N Neo running synchronous ram/FSB... why doesnt it run with my asus? is it a failure of the Via Chipset?
i can get a Epox 9NDA3+, thats with NF3, should i get it? somebody can tell anything about the epox?

When i set Ram to 200Mhz, my CPU does Stable 2,6Ghz@1,6vc... SuperPi 33sec.

Try the Geil Ultra-X series, that should give you some better results. I went with the PQI turbo 3200 with tccd chips myself - they go all the way to 265/270+ (not found their limits yet) at 2.7V with 2.5-3-3-10t

you are stable with 2x512bh5 on your abit?

well, tried the BH-5 out and it does NOT play well with this setup

tried slot 3&4 and slot 1&2...problem with 1&2 is the DDR Booster (in slot 4) hits the HS of the ram... but i dont think this explains the CRAPPY performance ...

back to the G-Skill...and WAY down to 255x11 looking for something stable...

ya well, i have that mem too and it didnt do JACK S#!T for me

but i did try running only 1 stick of 512 TCCD and i got to 3135MHz... i didnt even spend the time testing stability since the bandwidth sucked sooo bad

not sure if your serious or not :p

if it was even 8.5x320 it would be 2720mhz which may be past the limit of the cpu, or your stock cooler may not take it that far

(9x320 would be 2880mhz)

Your probably at your CPUs' limit. Mine tops out about the same clock speed.

My stock cooler cant pass 2.7ghz in superpi for sure. I made 2.7ghz superpi stable when I clocked in high speed Had to let the themps down to 38C then raised the volt to 1.7v on the core and 270mhz and a fast superpi round but I didnt get 30 sec =( So I'm stuck on 31 sec until I get better cooling.

just go for a nice copper heat sink with a fan like a jet engine, you might get to see a 30 sec run .
Look over the air cooling section, their talking about Zalmans' latest released air cooler. Its huge, quiet and seems to cool just as well as the big high speed fans on smaller copper heat sinks.

well i alrdy tried max vcore but it doesn't change my oc, so why should i buy better cooling??? and look at the 2 attachments! yesterday i could do a higher fsb than today with 2-2-2-5 and max vdimm (4.1 says booster) what should i change in bios für vdimm auto??

hey Th3__W00T_GuY__ i have a 3000 to and i can not OC it at all i can not even do 9*210 i an use a epox 9NDA3+ i an use (4x256) i try use 2x256 and still i can not OC. i also had a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and it was then some thing. i do not know hwta i an doing wrong can u help or anyone else

Highest stable so far. Reached the limit for the stock HSF
