    8000 mb/s in sandra with 939

how hard is it? I guess i'd need 2x 512MB TCCDs that do 300mhz?

and thoose tccd chips are expensive? How much of a factor does the cpu play?

That all depends on how well your mem controller on cpu is and htt limit on your mobo, and of course that your tccd is able to do ddr600.

From what I've seen, CPU speed plays a big factor. I'm guessing because of the build-in memory controller.. faster the cpu, the faster the memory controller. If you bench a FX-55 at 300mhz 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.6ghz, then at 3.0ghz. The 3ghz score will be quite a bit higher.

Hey Det0x, I'll PM you 10 smilies for no cost if you get rid of that hideous Windows Style Color - what is THAT - Pistachio Theme or something - Bleh...

Though you should also try some newer benchies. Many would appreciate more if you could get it up to like 2.7 or 2.6 AS LONG AS ITS NOT THE SAME DANG PIC EVERY TIME !!

No one's saying its a bad OC, and frankly, I cant even begin to think about touching that, but some variety would be nice.

That can't be stable! Can you prime that on air overnight?

It's a bug. He tried to find out how it happend, but as I recall he couldn't replicate the results. If I'm not mistaking, the max oc he could get out of the CPU was 2.5 -> 2.6 GHz.

I cant replicate the result, it was a one in a life time :-)

SIOUX: I feed em with 3.4/3.5 volt.

    bias_hjorth: Ambient = 5 celsius ca

dnottis: No that wasent stabil at all... This cpu is maxed out @ 2600/2700mhz @ air cooling with 10/15 celsius ambient ca

Don't forget just like similar cpu's dont always overclock the same. A while back I was playing with 2 3000+'s and they both did the same clockspeed, but the memory had to run 20mhz slower on one chip compared to the other, so its not only the cpu speed its also what the memory controller on the chip can handle.

    Nice one onepagebook!!

    I hit 7K @ 250FSB on the 939 VIA chipset with 2-512 dimms. So 8K is attainable.
