    110w tec for 9800pro

    guys,
i m thinking of pelting my gpu , but i m not thinking of a high powered one(psu problems).
how much work will a 110w tec do if i make it cool down my 9800pro @ 455/375?

That is the most powerful one I could find also that is both 40mm and also has a vmax proper enough for 12v supplies. I have yet to find anything better than that one for video card's myself. If anyone finds a better one... they'll be helping us both.

Anything in 40mm that you can find higher than that usually carries a vmax around 24v... so , anyone correct me if I'm wrong, this is probably more usable cooling power than the 172w 24v popular choice or at least as good for 12-13v guys. I have a 12v meanwell myself. May be time to bust out the calculator.

xbitlabs has the numbers about how much the cards consume.

    go figure

but dont forget that thats the power condumption of the card, not only the gpu. the gpu consumes probably ~80% of the power consumed by the card

aircooled? not really watercooled... its def better than an 80W tec wich can be put to its limits with an oced overvolted 9800

Running that at 12V would be around 88ish watts right? How many amps would that draw? Like 8? I think I'll get one for my 9500pro

guys, do you think that firing this pelt (Imax=10A Vmax=15,4V) with a 300W fortron psu that gives away 14-15A @ 12vs? would that kill the tec?

is the 5v&30A rail a better solution?

    thanks.

Why would it kill the pelt? Also, that pelt is about the same as a 80W, that guy "thermalenterprise" is know to rate his tec at 50C (110W), while we usually want to use them at 20ishC (85W). That is where he gets his 85-110W of cooling power.

    thanks guys..

foa, i want to ask, how much(%) better can this pelt do compared to an AMD Stock HSF for cooling a 9800pro@xt?(just a prediction)

and, the attached image shows a pic of a vga block that s designed and produced by a friend of mine.

do you think that it may be able to cool down the hot side of the pelt w/water setup or should i go for the maze4 gpu block?
