    P4 3.6 performance loss, ?

    Hi guys.. Anyome of you know how mych influence the Nb strap and game acc has on the P4 @ Pifast/superPI scores?

    We're in serious pain - its so not cool to have that kind of cpu and not get the results we need/want.. hehe

    Doh how can i forget.. - hehe.. Abit AS8, tonight we'll try with Asus P5P800 and see if performance still sucks..

    Btw cooling is mach@r404a.. bad mounting with clamps..

    Ahh...the Abit AS8

    scale up the fsb!

    What memory also?

    that superpi score isn't all THAT low...not extremely low...

    2x256MB KHX PC3500 BH-5 (good for about 266 1:1 cas 2-2-2-5 in P4C800 and s.939 etc.)

    i heard a guy say that this new pat in the 925 gave him 1000mb/s in sandra extra... so i gues thats the boost your looking for

    disabling PAT gave me about 100mb/s more in San Unbuffed on my AA8!

    Yes, but so is the "925" you mentioned. They are on 865!

    Well, a higher FSB would probably give you another second or two. Other than that, I don't think there's much more left in this combo.

    Here's my 3.0 on a AS8 at a a similar clockspeed...
    settings:
    NB Strap 800 Mhz (PAT off)
    RAM 5:4 (3-2-2, CPC off, Game Accelerator off, all other settings off/auto - the 3700EB won't handle more than that)



    I'm getting some TCCD tomorrow, maybe I'll be able to run it at 1:1 and hit 27s.

    slowest GAT vs. fastest GAT makes a clear difference in bandwidth and it obviously improves superpi/3dmark etc.
    On AS8 and 2x256BH5 you want to run F1-enh-5-e-e or SR-e-4-e-e for optimal 1:1 performance.

    Thanks guys for the answers.. Thanks macci for the specific explaination about Gane acc.. Will try it tonight..

    Hopeing it will give us a good portion of points.. I ll try it with some dryice later this week.. Just to test a max benchable speed..
