8686 pretty sick buffered bench. good stuff and keep on pushing for more.

Pretty close to 9K, untouched record to be broken.

thats very high for unbuffered, no?

unbuffered means uncheck all mmx sse sse2 and 3dnow optimizations in the options settings of sandra. did you do that?

or just run sciencemark, it shows other interesting things like the bandwidth with different sizes of data chunks and the memory latency for different sizes of data chunks. check it out i like it much more than sandra because it shows much more information

I am using vapochill LS, I think it's pretty stable when I run several times 3d mark 2005.

does anyone besides me find it very interesting how easily the A64 with plain DDR ram can still out do the best Intel bandwidth shots from DDR2, when DDR2 is suppose to be so much better?

yeah remember when DDR first came out. It wasn't anything all that speical. Then it got better and look at what it can do . anyway...Intel doesn't have an ondie mem controller so that will make it score lower. Thats AMD bigest advantage. lots of mem bandwidth.

What RAM volts is that? If I missed it - sorry.

BTW, those who say 9K is untouched are very wrong A dual opteron system with NUMA breaks 10K stock easily.

I think he means 9k for non-dual cpu system or normal personal system

    right.....6-13 + 18 = "real" unbuffered

    np

btw: do you think (or maybe Oskar) it could be my CPU, which can't handle 2 512MB-sticks @ 1T and that high clocks like >275MHz and why i get thousands of errors @ memtest?

(i really hope, that the problem "goes away" when i drive my MSI + 90nm-A64 - but i want to get sure: the sticks which i bought are specificated like following, right? : 2x512MB @ 2.5-3-3-7-1T @ DualChannel)

    right?
