i3 - 8100 not really extreme but...
HI, I am trying to get back in the grove, so the first thing i did was look around at my systems and see if i could rack up any points fast
plus learn a little. I always learn more by doing.
So i looked at what i had and tried to determine if I could score some fast points,,,,
I saw the i3 8100's only had 4 submissions....
Well I recently had to downgrade my son't gaming system for personal reasons from a 8086k to a i3 -8100.
Still a nice chip i3 but with 4 cores @3.6ghz
So last night i went into his room and played a bit...
I am running win 10 pro 64bit full load, I shut off a lot of stuff he was running and went to work.
Not being a K version not to much I could do, but what the heck, only 4 submissions.
We are running...
Intel? Core? i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60GHz
MSI Z370I GAMING PRO CARBON AC (MS-7B43) ITX
2x8G Corsair CMD16GX4M2B2800C14
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (GP102) @ 1569 MHz
With the 8086k in it, I figured he had at least 2 years with this system..
But anyway back to the i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Well I tried a whole bunch of stuff, not really knowing too much and was trying to up the bus speed.,
from 100mhzz to whatever... well I managed to beat 1 of those 4 submissions with my
3699.32 MHz (36 * 102.76 MHz) - Uncore: 3391 MHz
I only played for a little while but I hit a wall @ 102.7MHz
no way was I getting 102.8...
Any idea's what I should look at and what changes and where I might be able to add 1 or 2 MHz more out of it since the multi is locked at highest 36
any help?
thanks in advance....
Here is the submission...
HWbot
