On my x99 with 5820K, running 2666 15-15-15-1T at 1.25v , so are they a "no way in hell" a "maybe" or "should be fine" ? :-D
Im pretty positive im going ryzen in the first few months, also this 2400mhz with four modules is a definitive hard thing or more like a suggestion and also could be fixed with a bios update ?
I need 32gb :-/
Anyhow i hope amd is working on some fixes

Thanks for the answer Chew , Samsung B-die then it's all good in my book. I'm really looking forward to your findings bro as not a lot of AMD overclockers from our time are around anymore , really happy to see Motherboard vendors pushing out new Bios like crazy. Things will get better as Bios mature as always has been that way.
Kind Regards: Chispy
Crucial uses a micron chip. Im told they do decent with volts vario.
No clue on Amd yet.

Hello I'm always about, just nowhere near the time I used to have to haunt the forums anymore. Very much looking forward to messing with Zen though! I'll even be trying out that fancy new Wraith cooler until the AM4 bracket arrives for my Seidon 120 to see how it holds up to "proper" cooling
I prefer "whatever is necessary is never unwise"

I prefer to take unnecessary risks while using a little common sense...but only a little.
The very second you concern yourself about the risks involved is the moment when you actually break something.

Without knowing timings used its a shot in the dark to make assumptions. if identical timings were used its realistic however. There is also an X factor that I'm not at liberty to discuss yet.
Grid autosport is very sensitive to total platform performance albeit a little dated. Its also real world vs synthetic.
I'm likely going to use it as a reference in testing since it is highly accurate and consistent and does not require me to make my own custom benchmark.
It also allows other users to do a direct comparison of there own system versus my results which would be impossible with a custom made benchmark unless it was hosted for public use.

I think that Witcher 3 bench is fishy. The scaling is weird.
Probably a photoshop.
http://www.game-debate.com/news/2204...erboard-review
What gives it away is the scale on the left that still goes up to 115 FPS.

Could just be a marketing slide that they use throughout there lineup as well. which once again makes it meaningless.

I'm fairly certain its the kit used and not the cpu at fault for the rather conservative timings.
