Not sure what these are, as they're obviously some kind of Elpida chips BUT the sticks appear to be single-sided.

The PCB of those does look like the typical single-sided modules...but I'm staring right now at a 2x4GB kit of Ballistix Elite with the same type of PCB (single row of closely located SMC just above the gold contacts on one side and none of the back side) and they are in fact double-sided.

Threw me for a loop when I first got them.

I can't speak for those GSkill, but my point is that every now and then you'll see double-sided chips with that type of PCB.

True, my Ballistix are double-sided and have all of the SMCs all on one side as well. Still, I haven't seen any G.Skill examples like that.

I sent the Seller an inquiry as to whether they are single, or double sided, and will post the answer if I get a response.

Seller responded...and confirmed that they are single sided.

It appears that he also added text to that effect under the heading "Additional Information".
