    Try this

Set vccin to 1.9v (def 1.8, maybe it's called VRIN in your MB)
Set vring at 1.2v (def 1.05v more less, this si the ring voltage or uncore voltage)
    Try with the same vcore
If u have a high performance RAM rise up vssa too (it's the memory controller voltage)

On haswell there is tue vccin voltage, that is important, it's the on chip vrm in voltate

Try it and give me a feedback

    Ok.
I will try with this settings.

So i use the same vcore and the same GHz (4.5Ghz).

btw my memory is Gskill tridentx 2400 8Gb.

PS: yeah, yeah. I have hear the Samsung 30mn 16Gb. :P

At the end of the session I decided to test this cpu with safe vccin (2.2v); L312B332

2c 2t valid is still on the drive and only required 1.65v.

    Some 4c 8t action:

    Three quick questions lads:

    1. What's the default cache (uncore, ring, whatever) speed in the 4770K? My Gryphon sets 3900Mhz by default, but I keep reading people talking about 3500MHz default.
    2. What's the deal with offset/adaptive voltage? It doesn't work like Sandy Bridge, that's for sure. There seems to be a ~0.75V bump when an AVX/AVX2 enabled application is run. If you tune voltage with this in mind, you can end up with too low voltage for normal applications...
    3. When talking about adaptive voltage, and following Intel presentations, the adaptive voltage offset kicks in in the "overclocking region". Does that mean that voltage is as default up to 3900 MHz, and that the offset affects any frequency above that? If yes, is it really an offset or linear as shown in this slide?

    Cheers.

Does in really matter where the chips are assembled (Malay vs Costa Rica)? The 22nm come from the same fabs in Hillsboro & Israel anyway. I think it is more luck and where the CPU dies are sliced from.

    Right guys, need an advise.
My 4670k can do 4.5 GHz with 1.25v - not bad, but THB with you I have to play with other settings , rather than vcore and mp.

    like with old settings?

I read that retail 4770k need 1.25-1.35v to run at 4500mhz
    maybe your cpu needs 1.35v

1.35v is safety... if you have low temps

Liking the new Linpack. 4.5ghz now should be 1.25v and shld be able to run other test. It finds fault with almost all voltages even rtls.

    edit
hmm just saw those readings...shld be fail... need to increase vccin. Been testing at 1.5v.

Im actually getting a 116 BSOD when I oc my 4770K, Im using a 680 in SLI. I've only raised the multi to x43 and everything else in auto, vcore at 1.220. Maybe adding more PCH voltage will help since running at full stock wont give me the 116 bsod.

Got mine at 4.4 at 1.28vcore, 2.1 Vin and 1.25 vring. I get throttling after 5 minutes of prime 95 though with a swiftech h220. Anyone with a comparable water cooler can tell me whether those temps are to be expected, or should I try reseating my cooler.

lower vin to 1.8 would bring you temps a little down. And yes,it is to be expected due to haswell bad die-ihs contact.

first time here guys, took me long time so start to learn the M6E BIOS

i have a nice chip, wont boot 5GHZ but yes 4900 and with amazing temps using a TT water xtreme 2.0

THE BEST ACHIEVEMENT of the WEEKEND

    4770K@ 4750HT on 1,36VCore LOAD / TridentX CFR 2800CL11-13-13-35 1T - 3250CL12-15-15-42 2T@ 1.725

    4770K@ 4750HT on 1,36VCore LOAD / TeamX 2666CL11-13-13-35 1T - 3000CL12-14-14-35 1T@ 1.75 yes 1T !!! i luv it !!!

as i have EIST and C1E i let runing SPI at background to show CPU speed as it goes instant down

    hope you guys like it
    cheers !!!
