V1.93 does not corrupt all systems. You might want to e-mail Asrock and ask if the version that they e-mailed you is a revised V1.93 that has been corrected or if it is the original. As long as it doesn't corrupt your system when you install it, then you are fine.

Asrock hasn't been real clear on the "corruption" or what the V1.93 does other than "improve RAM compatibility". There probably isn't any system performance gain with any of the newer BIOS as this would require different timings or other settings that should have been fine tuned long ago.

The V1.93 is on their web now - and it work fine.

Right now i'm testing the 1.95A BIOS.

You can download it from my archive:
    https://www.box.com/s/1jpu0i86nmjohhnsge6z

I don't have the change log, but i know it has
    updated AGESA 1.5 codes.

L1.93 has a small RAM voltage readout error that L1.94 corrects but once L1.95 is determined to be reliable it will be posted, though no system performance advantage has been demonstrated with any BIOS updates from V1.70 onward. The updates basically improve RAM compatibility (and fix minor errors), as RAM ICs vary from maker to maker and even batch to batch.

Well, the 1.93 and 1.95 don't work for me - when I save even the default options
in BIOS, on the next post I get the error that the specs are restored to default.

But with 1.91 and 1.90 it works for me just fine.

    Could You share the 1.94?

The L1.93 should work fine. L1.94 is just a minor correction to the incorrect RAM voltage display. L1.95 is pretty untested so far.

BTW, Asrock has tested the FX-9590 on both the 990FX Fatality Pro and Extreme9 and found them to work fine.

The 1.95A is made for the FX-9590. But on the old FX-8120 I can't get it to work (and the 1.93).

Always an error appears - even when I save the default settings:

The 1.91 works fine for me.

    Valg-

I'd e-mail Asrock support and see what they know. Something may not have gotten written properly for the FX-8120 CPU ??? They will provide L1.94 if you ask but it may not be any better than L1.93 if there is a programming issue in the BIOS for the FX-8120.

You can e-mail Asrock Taiwan and they will respond in a day or so. That is where all the BIOS are written anyway.

I rather wait for my ASRock referent in EU. I have time.

He is helping me, i'm helping him - so I don't want to change the referent.

Look what I got from him - just in case something gets wrong with the beta BIOS-es:

That's fine. I was just offering a direct link as Asrock in Taiwan ends up making the new BIOS so they want to help as much as possible with any customer issues.

My mail is already forwarded to them - maybe my referent already got the answer, but he is on vacation.

Well, the 1.94 is not working for me either...

All the new beta ones, 1.93/1.94/1.95 are based around RAM compatibility - but they seem to lost the
    love for Patriot.

    1.90/1.91 working like a charm.

It could be the RAM. I've run G.Skill and Mushkin 1866 NHz. @ 2133 MHz. without issue on an FX-8350. I would think that you could down clock the RAM to 1600 or 1866 and see if the BIOS no longer gives you the error message. That would be a clue the RAM is the issue. It could be a lot of things including a bad BIOS chip.

I've got two BIOS chips - i've tried both - same thing.

I've set already the def. settings - RAM at 1333MHz - always the same error.

None of the newer BIOS offer any performance advantage so it's a moot point unless you have a need for something in one of the newer BIOS.

But maybe they fix the HT and NB freq.
On 1.90, setting the HT and NB freq. does nothing.
On 1.91 the HT is fixed, but the NB settings still don't work.

The NB and HT settings work fine for me on V1.90. I've ran many tests with the various settings and onserved proper changes with all except when the RAM was set to 2133 Mhz. Then there was an issue but not at other frequencies. I had them correct the one error with L1.91B.

    Only HT works on L1.91A, the NB don't. I don't own L1.91B, so I can't tell.

Tried the L1.91B - same thing.

    Works for my config:
    V1.90
    L1.91A

Does not work for my config:
    L1.91B
    L1.93
    L1.94
    L1.95A

All those updates have some "memory fixes" that don't work with my Vipers:
