Use nail polish for that… It's far thiner and will protect the contacts, moreover if want to remove just throw some acetone at it and wipe it clean.

that contains thinner (a well know paint remover) wich will remove any coat that protects the circuit...i wouldnt use that

A little piece of this electrical tape would probably work fine.
