guys When GTX 770 Reviews will Launches?
2013/05/30?![]()
WOOOOOF
NVIDIA launches are typically on a Thursday.....or at least they have been for the last few.![]()
I hope thoses number are fake:
The figures presented below were tested on an Intel Core i7 3960X 3.3GHz CPU on an MSI X79A-GD65 motherboard with 16GB of DDR3-1600 memory under Windows 7. Nvidia's 320.18 WHQL and AMD's Catalyst 13.4 WHQL drivers were used to drive the Geforce GTX 770 and Radeon HD 7970 cards, respectively, with both cards running at reference speeds. All games were run at 2560x1600 resolution and all numbers are frames per second. More details on the benchmarks are listed in the appendix.
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...70-ghz-edition
Nvidia's Geforce GTX 770 scores four wins over the Radeon HD 7970 GHz but it has to be said that titles such as Deus Ex are far from the bleeding edge of games design at the moment. In more contemporary titles such as Battlefield 3, Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3, the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition card holds a marginal lead over Nvidia's latest Geforce GTX 770 card in the results we have seen.
What we have seen with these benchmarks is that Nvidia's Geforce GTX 770 will have to be priced close to AMD's Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition for it to have a fighting chance. However, gamers might be swayed by AMD's current ploy of bundling a number of games, which puts Nvidia's graphics card partners under some price pressure on the Geforce GTX 770. ?

We all know that HD7970 GE is doing better than GTX 680 in 2560X1600 thanks to its superior 384-bit mem bandwidth.
GTX 770 is just a 680 with higher clocks so no need to dream about stellar performances.
In 1080p, a more popular solution, GTX 770 will certainly be on par with 7970 GE.
Depending the review and games used, i even expect to see it a bit faster ( 5 % maybe ), the 680 close or is faster of the Ghz in some games ( AC3 etc ).. now 5% more or less, it is really not something to argue about, because even driver perf and or zone used for bench vs benchmark can change this ofc.

According to Cowcotland, the GeForce GTX 680 will now cost €40 less, while the GTX 670 will receive a €20 lower price tag. That would make GTX 680 for €399 and GTX 670 for €339.
New pricing:
GeForce GTX TITAN – $999
GeForce GTX 690 – $999
GeForce GTX 780 – $649
GeForce GTX 770 – $449
GeForce GTX 680 – $399
GeForce GTX 670 – $339

WOOOOOF
lol why didn't they show the performance increase from 9700gtx to 770gtx it will be more then %65.
anyway it is a very good card.
When i'm being paid i always do my job through.
Good numbers and impressive value here @ $400!
Agreed, NVIDIA is really putting the boots to AMD lately.
Notices at the end of the Anandtech review:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6994/n...-770-review/18
If this is true, the rest of the year leaves AMD tied for 3rd best single GPU card.According to AMD’s last schedule they won’t have a new high-end part to replace Tahiti until the end of the year...for the GTX 770 and the 7970/7970GE, the rest of the year will be a battle of prices and bundles.
Intel 990x/Corsair H80 /Asus Rampage III
Coolermaster HAF932 case
Patriot 3 X 2GB
EVGA GTX Titan SC
Dell 3008
Nothing new, we all know they are going to release their next series later this year... ( Volcanic Island, or " sea Island )
From the same Anandtech article, i will not call that " a lot faster " ..GTX 770 delivers 102% of the performance of 7970GE at both our high quality 2560x1440 and high quality 1920x1080 settings. Of course as with some of the past battles between AMD and NVIDIA in this segment,
On hardwarecanuck at 2560x1600 = 770 is 3% slower of the 7970Ghz .. ( and +7% of the 680 stock.. huum )
On some review more mixed, the 770 is between 2-3 and 5% faster.. ( depend the games used, like allways ).
on newegg there's allready MSI 7970GHZ BE at 399$ + 4 games bundle, other are at 429$ +4 games bundle.. ( some higher ).. in Europe, most shops got the 7970Ghz allready at the same price, or even lower for some models.
Im ok for the 780 .. but still.. this 770 was just here for close the GHZ at the same perf / and price. nothing more And in reality you dont have more of what a 680 FTW or a lightning, or DCII can offer or even just by push the TDP limit a bit on a standard 680 ( outside new memory chips and Turbo 2.0). ( cheaper, but like Nvidia have annonce too a price down of 680-670 today ( at least before they are EOL ).
Its not really different of what have done AMD with his 7970 to 7970Ghz move, but one year later.
So for someone who want a card at this price point and come from a 2-3 year older gpu, yes they will have the choice between the 770 and 7970Ghz, plenty of choice .. Problem is im not sure everyone who have wait so far will jump on it, just because it bring 6-7% performance more of the 680 for a bit less money... i have just to read reaction of 560TI and 570-580 users, they just will not jump right now, they can wait a bit more, and other have allready jump on different cards from Nvidia and AMD inbetween. ( this said, i know too peoples who think they can now they could change for it. and im sure they should sold well. )

Not bad price performance ratio for the 770, I wonder if they're going to fill the gap between $400 & $650 with anything this year...
gk104 is pretty much tapping out as far as extra capacity goes so any filler would likely have to come from above if at all.

With what do you want they fill it ? outside decrease price of the 780 ... they have reuse the 680- GK104 with higher clock for this 770 (overclocked it ), and upper is the 780 GK110/TitanLE, they can maybe remove 2SMX more to TitanLE, but i dont really see the point for them to do it .. and they dont really need it.
If i was a bit bad i will said, the EVGA 680FTW who run at 1150mhz stock boost ( and nearly 1200mhz real turbo boost if you are lucky on the binning without overlocking ) is allready fit this price at 560 $ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130794. ( But with new price annonced today, this one should drop to 460$ before be EOL )

At least for the past two generations there have been at least three sku's for Nvidia's top tier gpu, at the moment we have two which are Titan and the 780. Considering titan is not a fully enabled die its very possible we may see a higher binned part eventually, maybe or not. Also considering the number of transistors and the size of gk110 odds are there are a number of lower bin parts that don't even qualify for 780 specs.
There's definitely room for a refresh down the road for a fully enable gk110 and two harvested cut down variants.
The biggest point I see in them doing something is because theres got to be enough margin left in sales between $400 and $650 to still make money with a harvested core.
Also the low end and possibly main stream markets may eventually be largely replaced by embedded gpu's in the coming years, it's in their best interests to really push the market at the higher end.
