I don't know whose idea it was that only EVGA and ASUS would be making cards, I mentioned a day or two ago that it was FUD and everyone would be bringing out cards. It doesn't mean that more than 10,000 are being made.

A little snippet for those interested, liquid nitrogen takes you as far it did with the GK104.

Unlocked voltage is a nice move, though.

Waiting for Techreport's review. These might get pretty close to GTX 690 in latency testing. FPS isn't everything.

P.S. Notice how Nvidia's testing is done using a 3.3GHz CPU...

Edit: lol, they forgot to put Titan onto the slide.

    TITAN’s MSRP is $999
    Damn.

    Also:
This is not a limited run part. In the conference call with reporters, senior product manager Justin Walker said there will be “More than enough to satisfy demand for these high end gaming PCs.”

From the tail end of our article, which addresses the rumors I've seen bandied about recently:

    • This is not a limited run part. In the conference call with reporters, senior product manager Justin Walker said there will be "More than enough to satisfy demand for these high end gaming PCs." The rumor mill some how got a limited production run of 10,000 units in its head.
    • EVGA and ASUS are the two board partners bringing TITAN out in North America. There may be other partners in other countries, but not in this market.

these guys have titan in their system builder, and the price is over $1000, so you KNOW titan is $999. that is more than they need to charge... I thought $899 was enough, greedy nvidia...! http://www.digitalstormonline.com/nvidia-gtx-titan.asp

people can now begin deciding which company is best to buy from: evga for warranty, or asus because they won't go out of business in 5 years? :p

Finally fully uncapped GPGPU performance: @anandtech
Also shows how to disable GPU Boost.

For Titan cards, partners will have the final say in whether they wish to allow overvolting or not. If they choose to allow it, they get to set a maximum voltage (Vmax) figure in their VBIOS.
VBIOS modding for fully unlocked voltage?

Good power savings though in multi-monitor setup.

Too little, too late, too expensive ... next.

I understand now why amd won't release a new arch in 2013, the 7990 would reign supreme for quite some time, onwards to grab one...

I wasn't disputing it as such, I was saying that other manufacturers bringing out Titans isn't conclusive that there are more than 10,000 chips out there. As for EVGA and ASUS only in the USA, well I'm not sure of the american market but I do know that other partners ARE releasing cards

Lets be honest, at this price, they dont need to have 50'000 cards in shop the first day. ( damn, here you can add 100 to 200$ more for have one ( and they will maintain low quantity order for keep this price. )

Sorry, where did you see that? Under no circumstance can Boost be completely turned off by the end user unless they upload a custom VBIOS.

Their article gave me an impression that enabling FP64 stopped the card from boosting. Did I get that wrong?
