imo non reference will depend on quantity of titan. i am hoping a decent launch in terms of quantity but not sure will they continue to supply this large masses (which they will decide on the demand). if good demand then we can see lightning.
When i'm being paid i always do my job through.
You can pre purchase cherry picked GPUs thats why, and also reference boards like MSI Lightnings come better built to handle overvolting and stability at higher OCs.
Many Galaxy / KFA2 SOC 680s have been reported as running at 1300 Mhz boost clock out of the box on this forum, while I've been through three GK104s now and none of them pushed past 1250 Mhz.
Most of the custom GK104s out there dont have a premium price on them, E.G MSI reference 680 - 360 GBP, vs MSI Twinfrozer - 371 GPB. Not too long ago EVGA Signature 2 680s were also selling for 380 GBP.
The difference of 10-20 GBP is well worth it to me for the cooler alone. Aftermarket standalone coolers look crap and cost more.

I had two 120Hz multi-monitor sets, and am now back on two 30" panels. The surround does provide a fun "arcade" like feel to gaming but:
1. Main issue is you can't really take in three panels all at once, so you end up watching a smaller panel in the middle 90% of the time and the sides are just in your peripheral vision.
2. Performance hit is huge, although that probably is a non issue for Titan Sli crowd.
3. A lot of games don't support it.
4. TN panels not as good for viewing angles, color.
5. Can't run panels in portrait for 3d, so best you can do is three 27" in landscape for height. 30" fills field of vision better.
Anyway, I consider both to have their pros and cons and pretty comparable on level of desirability. 3D Vision Surround is probably as good as it gets for gaming, but downsides above took me back to one 30".

Personally I'd rather have a single big screen. The problem there is if I do get a new monitor, I'd also like it to be 120 Hz capable, and 120 Hz monitors only go up to 1080p, so Im still stuck with my 1200p 60 Hz TN panel, but arguably still one of the best TN panels around for viewing angle, colour, contrast and saturation.
Its sad that most monitor manufacturers are still focused on pushing out 1080p, and no one seems to be focused on improving 120 Hz resolutions beyond that crappy resolution.
For me it is more a question of place.. 3x 24" take some place, if not in portrait, let alone 3x 27" or 5:1 portrait. a 30" fit more for the place i get. Problem then, most PLS 27-30" have crappy display latencies and input lag ( even the best are around 16.5-17ms "input lag", and most are over 32ms ). When you look monitors, you have a big hole between 24" - 27" gamers 1080p display ( 120-144hz ).. and 27" 2560x1440. more aimed at productivity instead of gaming.

Well I'm sitting at a very easy 1280/7400 on SLI lightnings, so that'd put it 25% faster than mine. If I pushed them a bit, I could close the gap to only 18% faster. Cost of Titan going off estimates in Australia ($1500 AUD) is 250% more than my lightnings. Cost/performance of Titan seems really really bad, unless 6GB ram is needed otherwise even 4GB slower clocked 680's would be very hard to turn down for those who need it.
Probably be looking at $3300 for SLI Titans and waterblocks. That's serious coin for a setup that would be given a massive run for it's money (again unless situations where >4GB VRAM is needed) by Tri-SLI 680's for $2400 incl. blocks. With how good SLI drivers are these days too, it's not the bench only setup it once was either - many gamers use Tri or Quad SLI now. You know how Titan makes me feel? Like I own a 660Ti.

And according to many that's exactly how you should feel since the 680 is actually the 660ti and titan is what 680 was supposed to be if amd had managed to deliver a punch in this (previous?) generation. They didn't and the rest is history as they say... it is possible that you played premium buck for what's really a mid end part.
Then again nvidia and co are out to make profit, too bad that if they go far enough they'd simply slow the evolution of hardware (if it hasn't already), living space for mobile parts to -one day- take over the desktop parts (as distant as it may currently seem), basically shooting themselves in the foot like intel seems to have done already...
When i'm being paid i always do my job through.
Well for those that want to use ab

Sure. 3.0.0 beta is ready and it will be used in upcoming Guru3D review.
Changes list includes:
? Ported to new VC++ compiler, new core and skin engine libraries with better extendibility
? Added NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 technology support for NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan graphics cards:
o Added slider for temperature limit adjustment
o Added option for linked power limit and temperature limit adjustment
o Added option for temperature limit prioritizing
o Added maximum voltage adjustment
? Improved skin engine, now skinned slider controls support curved paths defined by alpha channel. Skin format reference guide has been updated to v1.6 to document new slider types support
? Fixed single tray icon mode functionality under Windows 8
? Improved single tray icon mode handling. It is no longer necessary to restart application when toggling single tray icon mode
? Now unofficial overclocking mode and official clock limits extension command line switch (XCL) for AMD graphics cards are accessible via GUI in ?General? tab in ?AMD compatibility properties? section
? Now MSI Afterburner displays voltage regulator model and location information in ?i? window
? MSI On-Screen Display server has been upgraded to version 5.0.0. New version gives you the following improvements:

wow really? lol dont even know how to respond to that.
so your saying that Amd winning Crysis 3 for their gaming evolved program didn't effect Nvidia's launch of the Titan not even a little tiny bit?? especially when they launch on the same day?i think nvidia got burned just a little tiny bit.

anyways when does the NDA lift? cant wait to see how these guys are gonna clock.. and just waiting for someone to put a pot on itwith some LN2 action!
how many manufactures are picking up the Titan? i saw a picture of a galaxy card.... does that mean they are expecting say more than 10k units?

Personally, I dont mind the boost feature overclocking my video card, but I hate when it underclocks / undervolts my card at certain thermal throttles. Otherwise I like the extra power management with the clocks not running at full speed all the time if it isnt required.
Also I've never considered choosing between AMD and Nvidia over which bundled software they offer. I always decide on which GPU I want, and then look for the best offer / quality I can find.

im not talking about bundling the game with the card your right..no one would care.... im talking about the launching of crysis 3 and titan on the same day seemingly was on purpose but then amd won it so it took the rug out from underneath the titan just a little bit like 1%
anyways ill shutup now reviews/previews are poping up

It depends on your definition of lag. It was meant in the context of running with or without AA. There's a subtle difference to be felt in BF3 and a rather clear difference in Far Cry 3. CPU is a 3960X at 4.6GHz. Render times as shown in the BF3 built-in performance overlay graph is typically for both CPU and GPU 4-5ms.
1.1ghz overclock already without adjusting voltage nice
cant wait to see how these do on watercooling/LN2
