Bought another 3770K few weeks back to test out my UP7. Chip is a bit of a hot chunk blower & needed the top flipped & some liquid metal to get it to run 5G 32M. Anyway I put it in the UD5H today & run a like for like test to see how much faster a 3770K is over a 3570K so here it is........

A lot closer than I thought!!

Finally found good PSC kit. This is some new batch cause sn is 1200, every other kit's i have are 1040.

This is air cooled with surrounding temps ~23?C and Gene's max voltage 1.92v. Time is not that good cause had to loose tRRSR to 5, but still pretty good kit!

Also capable of +2700MHz CL8 with loose sub timings, need's cold to get them tight.

Honestly just popping the lid made all the difference previously it could not run 32M on a Kuhler 620, the IMC will only run to 2830.

I have not tested the Corsairs on the UP7 only Team Samsung 2666 10.12.12's & they run alright. The later GB UD5H bios's for me anyway get a bit funky.... not so predictable or consistent & when you try something & it fails the board/bios wont recover properly. For arguments sake if I can run 2600 10.12.12 then try 9.11.11 & it fails 32M it will then fail 10.12.12 again until you flash the bios!!! This is the same behaviour I am experiencing with the UP7... The first bios would not run 2600 prime stable... 2nd & 3rd allowed more mem speed but all of my findings were inconsistent. I still could not run 2800 32M stable with any timings or volts & one of the most recent bios's i.e. last time I run the board was way better & allowed me to get a 2800 10.12.12 6m20 ish with fairly slack timings.

To sum up my UP7 findings.. I like the board a lot it runs 2666 tight 24/7 load tested just fine so is totally useable & I'm sure in time GB will iron the kinks out of the bios but right now I could not recommend a 300GBP UP7 to anyone over a 150GBP UD5H.

BTW When I get round to testing the UP7 again I will if I find something constructive post my results in the UP7 thread.

Well i don't what to say,but i tested 20 cpu's imc and on no one worked trwsr and trwdr 4 at 2800,but this IMC...well it is a different story Straight boot from bios,1.9V...

Also did some validation with a gtx6 stick, unfortunately i do not have any 3200+ capable ram on air,but pretty sure imc does >3200 on air,no 23 code

    Hey guys...quick (probably dumb) question:

Looking at doing a similar sort of challenge, how do you make sure the screenshot is taken at the same clocks spi was run at?

    Cheers!

Not here, wanted to try something similar on HardwareCanucks to try to get more people there interested in OC'ing. Probably at 4.0Ghz to make it more accessible, I've followed this thread for awhile and a similar one on OCN.

Seemed a great idea, just wanted to get my head around rules etc

He hasn't been online for quite a while unfortunately. I can update the thread when I have some more free time, I'm busy at the moment. If you want to make a new thread I can copy the contents of the first post to your thread so you won't have to copy the submissions and links manually.

Everyone can get the code from the first post after clicking on "Reply with Quote".
There are 2 variants for me
    - Moderators give someone else (with more free time) the required privileges to edit first post of the thread
    - Make a new thread and transfer all scores from first post in this thread, then update the rankings with the new scores which are not added yet.

IMO we should start fresh, new scores, new layout maybe even a background? I would be happy to start a new one....was thinking Top scoreboard and then broken down by IC after that. If that sounds good I will start a layout and get it rolling. ( I think no background what do you guys think )
