    When I switched from Liquid Ultra to Pro, I saw an improvement of ~3 degrees

    On paper, Liquid Pro is supposed to have at least 2x the thermal conductivity of Liquid Ultra

    CL Pro = 82w/mK
    CL Ultra = 32 or 38w/mK
    IX = 20w/mK
    PK-1 = 10.2w/m -c

    But in reality Pro is just 5-6C better than Ultra.

    Decided to delid my 2nd chip which is IMC 2800+ capable.

    IHS was beaten by a big size stationery knife within 5 minutes! It was quick.

    The residual black adhesive is removed by my fingernails,

    Applied Liquid Pro (elder bro of Liquid Ultra) on four sides: CPU die, IHS top and bottom, waterblock base.
    Note that IHS is installed, hence the CPU is not running nakedly

    So, here's the results.

    Previously I couldn't even finished the tests at 5.0GHz, the speed was throttled because it hit TJmax of 105C.
    So, delidding shove off about 30C.

    Actually Coollaboratory stated the correct w/ml values for Pro and Ultra. Ultra has a better w/mk than pro actually, I have an email from a Coollaboratory rep I can dig for you.
    I still prefer pro for on die application cause of the 0 possibility of tim pump out, which worries me a bit with Ultra being a different compound and not a metal alloy strictly.

    LM Pro = 32.6 w/mk (Right from the CEO of Coollaboratory)
    LM Ultra = 38.2w/mK (Right from the CEO of Coollaboratory)
    IX = 20w/mK (IX literature)
    PK-3 = (11.2W/mk)
    PK-2 = (10.2W/mk)
    PK-1 = 10.2w/m (frozencpu)
    artic silver 5 = 8.7 w/m.k
    Gelid extreme = (8.5W/mk)

    I de-lidded my 3770k, applied liquid pro and remounted the HS then applied some ic diamond and max load @ 5ghz is mid 60s to mid 70s. But the bad is.. it can do 10 runs of IBT on very high, But as soon as i launch a stressful game like BF3 or run Prime95 in 30 mins it crashes.

    my voltage is @ 3.5vcore BTW.

    Not sure what the problem is, but i currently have it knocked down to 4.9

    With 3.5v you probably killed the chip and the board VRMs. Maybe your problem is about the memory and not the CPU itself.

    I've got two delidded 3770Ks and both run 5GHz, one at 1.36v that I got from LagunaX and another I delidded myself at 1.39v (Offset mode, LLC-Ultra). My DMM shows the Vcores lower than this as well but the main thing is that delidded with Cool Laboratory gives great results. Both 3770Ks run mid 60C max after hours of Prime Blend, The chip I did myself would always give errors in Prime above 4.9GHz. Raising Vcore and LLC would just send the chip into the 90C's and cause errors earlier. I think I actually got throttling at one stage

    I'll probably run the chips 4.8GHz 24/7 but it's good to know that a slightly tricky (for me anyway) IHS removal with the CL Pro on the die and the lid replaced is definitely worth the effort.
    Sig always changing .

    That's really cool...

    I saw a guy at OCN post a delidding method that works 100% and is really fast.
    It involves using a vise to hold the chip by the ihs, a wooden block and a calibrated hammer.

    I'm tempted to try it with my not so stellar 3770k...
