Looking to take a system from watercooling back to air, and haven't kept up with the industry as of late. What's the best heatsink out there now for this architecture?

I used coolers like the Mega Shadow and they worked very well. I ran a 990x @ 4.8ghz for a very long time in push pull config.
Dang they sure are
Here you go tho, try this one, looks very good and has the same mounting system which is very good.

I sent my Mega Shadow off to Movieman as I have been using a Thermaltake WATER2.0 Extreme CPU Cooler.
But I used that Mega for a very long time.
Why not just get a Corsair Hydro series? They probably have better performance than most heatsinks out there and leave you with plenty of space for high profile RAM

Has been reviewed a few places as beating the corsair h100
The phanteks one in my sig has been reviewed by a few places and just about every other high end cooler on the market, but its huge and expensive.
With the right fan, the Venomous X is a potent cooler. If you can take the noise, a 120x38mm Delta fan is great.
